I currently feel the need to express my sorrow for I currently can not afford the time to live freely and independant. I would like nothing more than to be dancing and laughing my ass off while I enjoy the chemical pleasures of LSD. Unfortunatley (for my techno alter ego), at the tender age of 25 I have made the conscious decision to focus on my future and put partying on the sideline until I have successfully built my career.

So for those of you fortunate enough to be exploring your thresholds, I admonish you, enjoy every moment, take nothing for granted. Work on your mind, work on your spirit. Your existence is fragile, stay hungry for knowledge.

Not too many people believe in our generation, lets prove them wrong.

    Peace Love Unity Respect

    knowledge/freedom or carreer?
i would choose which makes me the happiest.
    and for me, it's knowledge/freedom.
something self-gratifying that no one else can touch but you.
no one else can feel it, unless they are just like you in every way.
it feels like a sense of accomplishment and that it's more worth it to me, than ranks and positions.
i know, i always take the eay way out, lol.

A nice wish. However I too spend years working on career changes. Building and focusing a life is as hippie an activity as baking bread and planting a garden. I don't believe that taking drugs for the purpose of getting loaded is inherently hip.

    Good luck with your journey.

    i love building/cultivating a garden...
and nothing beats fresh bread, man!
once it comed out of the oven, put some butter on it, man.
    AND EAT IT!

We all have our priorities, if building your career satisfies your needs, do it....Long-time golds are more important then instantaneous pleesure...I would rather do nothing tomorrow then go to school, but I know that going to school provides me something that doing nothing can't....Also, I'm sure that chemical pleasures of LSD can't do you any good ;)....

Oh, I'm more or less in the same way as you, man! I left my degree for something that I like indeed, but I'm quite stuck without knowing what to do (if keeping on studying or not...). Meanwhile, I'm looking for a job, but that's hard... I found it not easy.... Hum.... :s

being a hippy isnt all about drugs...we need to gather like our elder hippies and do something about our planet, but start with our nation first

when i put on my wedding band I thought i'd be planting my roots and hanging up my beads for good... but you know what... I'm more free now that when i was single... I have a man who supports my dreams and I'm happier as a stay at home wife (cooking, cleaning and all the rest) than if i had chosen a career...
