lsd & alchohol

hey i was just wondering if lsd and alchohol mixed well, thanks.

 

no they inhibit each other. the acid experience will overwhelm the alcohol experience you'll barely notice the alcohol intoxication. the alcohol has a mild grounding effect on the acid, you don't feel quite so far gone. you might want to drink if you've gone a little too far. also may be helpful in the 11th hour when you've had enough and want to finish coming down.

some people who are hooked on alcohol cant trip without drinking but thats probably just the addiction.

Man dude didn't say it wasn't fun, but it's the truth that drinking while you're still tripping is going to take away from whatever effects you were having. I did manage to drink to the point where I appeared just drunk to everyone else that didn't know I had been trippin since 9am one time, but after everyone passed out I was still up for like 5 hours trippin.

They're safe together, for the most part I think. You can definitely drink a lot more when you're trippin - one of my friends and i were trippin last fall and he drank probably...fuck theres no way to estimate. It was at least a 24 case, plus shots of some shit, and then some everclear. I do remember him complaining about not knowing what was really real, for real. But he was cool, just wasn't sure exactly what was goin on.

 

I think most people who trip while drinking are already drunlkk when the eat the doses. I have always found the alcohal takes away alot of the affects from the acid.

 

I'm not a drinker, 5 or 6 beers typically on a weekend night. Last time I tripped, two doses, I managed to kill 12 microbrews and proclaim "I don't even feel drunk!" with a big shit eating grin on my face.

Perhaps...I've always been trippin first, and never drank until either I was well on my way down (from a VERY high peak) or so far down that I wasn't really seeing anything cool anymore. Though I could see how being drunk first would dull the effects, especially visuals. One time (8 geltabs) we started drinking when I was still pretty good, and for a really long time the visuals in the apartment we were at froze (at least the visuals from textured patterns on the walls and carpet) and the mens health magezine the bathroom (had the rock on the cover, i think) looked like a charcoal drawing...

So I dunno, I guess you could say it just dulls it a bit. What happens when you eat the doses when youre drunk already and then the drunk wears off?

 

i have done shrooms and had beer, and i definitely felt really drunk off of just one beer, but honestly, i don't think it was the best choice. alcohol + cid sounds fucking retarded to me.... why make yourself stupider when you could be having mind-blowing psychedelic experiences?

 

I had a very bad experience once while drunk on wild turkey. 101 proof. i decided to dose .. it was probably 3 hits i m guessing . paper. from being slow and depressed feeling to sensory overload was a lot on my body. I naturally went with the flow but it was a bad move to get drunk then dose. I like to take benzo's during trips as they ease the come up and make a great mind set.

40 oz of vodka (in 5 drinks in just under 3 hrs) + 7 hits of lsd (2 white blotter + 5 blue heiro) = not drunk
+28mg of 2c-i = wtf? still not drunk but HOLY colors batman..

For me booze and Lucy don't speak to each other at all or at least Lucy dominates the whole conversation *shrugs*

In my opinion there is really no way to "waste" a trip

 

people drink alcohol to forget their life and their problems. people use lsd see and learn new things. its kinda like asking if you should show up for a very important college seminar drunk. NO - you wouldnt get anything from it. i have seen people curl up with their beer during a trip cuz they couldnt handle the trip - and it worked, they fell asleep. if you cant handle tripping then dont trip!

Alcohol and acid throw me off way bad, every time, just puts me on an unpleasant level.

 

to tell you the truth i couldent really imagine going to a college seminar tripping. Alcohal defintaly isnt for babies, You have to be 21 to buy it. People dont only take lsd for insight and spiritual i usualy dose because i think its fun.

It is legal cuz it's a profitable business and the government realized that prohibition wasn't stopping the problem *thinks about cannabis prohibition*....hmmm

There is a perfectly good reason to drink alcohol...several actually. Mostly it has to do with people liking the drinks - beer is particularly good after a day of working out in the hot sun. Another is to get drunk, which is a pretty enjoyable time given that you're not drinking away your problems or by yourself.

I have no problem with people not liking alcohol, but please don't tell me there's no good reason. I could say the same thing to you - there's no good reason to trip lsd. the problems far outweigh the benefits if there are any. why do you think it's illegal? The insight and spirituality can be obtained by other means.
