Got big performance comin up its also my 1st wich makes it a bit more scary.... have any of you got any tips for me ... Im kinda nervous .... also if u lyke hiphop then check out www.betarecords.com/w3z Fresh Hot trackz........
just look over your stuff and tell yourself that you're the greatest fucking whatever you are, then go on stage with that attitude. Every time my band goes on stage, I tell myself that we're the greatest fucking band in history and that I'm a wonderful hybrid of Bonzo and Keith Moon...works every time.
Are you a rapper? If so, are the people you're performing for morons? If not, I'd say there's not much you can do.
thankz citrus.. ima do that,, an as for Nalencer can u tel your mom ill be round at yours in a bit ,, so tell her to get the lubricant ready... u fuckin slope
Ooh, insinuating you have sex with my mother! I'd expect no less from an idiot rapper. If that's how you insult people, how original can your material be? Because the world sure needs another moron rapping about hoes and bitches and gang violence.
Woah, woah, woah, now! Man, I agree with you Nalencer that the world needs one less violent rapper, but to insinuate that The Outfit is violent and a stereotype rapper is just stupid. He's doing what he loves, and that's groovy. Just let him be, the world will be a better place if you do.
Well, his last post is about as stereotypical "rapper" as you can get. There was probably no point to my first post except to start shit, but he's still an asshole.
I think it's all about confidence and feeling your music... become one with your own music and the audience will too. I wouldn't worry too much about the audience. A lot of the best performers I've seen don't pay the audience any mind. They just rock the fuck out and if the audience joins in, then even better.
Oh, and losing inhibitions... performing is very much like being naked in front of a lot of people. If you clam up, you'll screw up the whole thing... you can't be afraid to let that deepest, most passionate part of you out on stage for all to see, even if it feels weird at first.
"sing to yourself" is what i always think before i get on stage. people seem to like that, when your playing music for seemingly nobody but yourself
