I can't speak for your local church, but you might try asking Jesus Christ Himself to help you. It's always better to go to Him anyways. He is very powerful, and just tell Him you have sinned and you want to be forgiven for those sins. Tell Him you want Him to be your Saviour and Lord. Explain to Him in your own words the problems you are having, and ask Him to help you. If you really want Christ in your life, He will be there for you. He's been waiting to hear from you for a long time. And He loves you very much. Jesus Christ is your best friend, and you will be surprised at how near He really is to you. And you can tell Him anything, believe me, He will not be shocked by anything you have to say.

Rules like the Ten Commandments and the Golden Rule are meant for Man's overall good and survival. In the absence of order, there is chaos. It is up to each of us as individuals to try do our part in maintaining this order. The more people who do so, the easier it will be for others to do the same. Your (bi) part of your sexual acts does nothing for the betterment of humanity. Inherently sex is meant for reproduction, not for recreation. When humans are responsible reproducers, they do their best to ensure that the next generation has the best chance to have a long, fruitful, and fulfilling life to carry on. Being married to one person of the opposite sex, before the sexual activity is the best way to do this.

Here is some more incentive to do the right thing and to know what the right thing is. Have you heard about my website? In 1989-90, I discovered dates, names, events, and social trends, which link the original American Woodstock music festival of 1969 and at least one of the Dead Sea Scrolls(discovered near the Dead Sea in 1947). I have mp3's and scanned pages from books for proof at my website, Woodstock and Dead Sea Scroll Connections www.woodstockanddeadseascrolls.net Once people have stopped scoffing long enough to read my website and listen to the music involved, they are often spiritually moved.

I have a humble suggestion: Sit down, make a list of the problems, and think of the causes. If you're hanging out with a crowd that wants you to be that person, find a different crowd. Don't waste any more money on drugs. Basically you have to name the causes of your problems and confidently push them out of your life. Suicide is never the way to go, because then you'll never have the chance to have that better life. Religion can certainly help, but it's more because of the religious community than anything else. If you ever need support, the hip community here is always here for a brother. As for your church, either decide that you don't care about their judgements, which is hard, I know, or try a different one out. Coming clean may well be part of the process, though.

Whatever your path, bro, good luck.

Thers's good advice for you here, comrade mao.

Campbell has made the very important point about finding a connection to God. Freaker's and Dan 67's posts are full of good points.

I'm not breaking any new ground here, but: you need to get away from the drugs and over-the-top sexual stuff...like right away!

I'd suggest finding your nearest AA group and start going to meetings, pronto. You'll find immediate interpersonal support on all your issues, a non-denominational spiritual basis and non-judgmental atmosphere, and it's free. AA has brought many a person back from the edge and into life again.

I feel that you are suicidal because you are ashamed. You don't rally have anything to feel bad about. Life is about learning and exploring who you are sexually and other ways.

Sure....sleep around, have bisexual encounters, do drugs, get AIDS and become an addict.

    Shitty advice.

The first thing you have to do is forgive yourself. Why are you so ashamed? Tons of people smoke weed and have kinky sex. I smoke weed, and I definitely have done some sexual things the church wouldn't be thrilled with. Don't be so hard on yourself. If you want to change your lifestyle, change your lifestyle. Cut back on the weed, or quit it entirely. Try to control your libido. Get a steady girlfriend perhaps, who isn't into the kinky stuff. Just don't kill yourself. A life of weed and kinky sex is a lot better than no life at all, for one thing. Aren't there things in your life you are happy about? People you love, activities you enjoy? Are you making the world a better place? I think a lot of depressed people are depressed because they know deep down they aren't living to their potential and they aren't contributing anything to society. Maybe you need to start writing or go after that job you always wanted, just to have a goal, you know?

If you ever want to talk to someone in depth about any of this stuff, feel free to PM me and we can talk on AIM or something.

    hey there,
4 1/2 years ago I was on these same forums and I was struggling with a lot of things in my life, drug addiction, immorality, paranoia, anxiety etc. I felt like I was completely out of control and even though I believed in God, I felt like I had no anwsers, nowhere to turn. One day, I read some things on here that completely changed my life. This man was saying how miracles were still happening today, that people's lives were being changed. People who had incurable diseases like cancer and AIDs were being healed, they were being freed from thier drug addictions, given brand new lives. He explained that the thing that was changing thier lives was the experience of recieving the holy spirit. In all my years of going to church, I had never heard that the Holy Spirit was something that you could recieve or that it was powerful. I decided to put it to the test for myself because i desperately wanted my life to changed. A few months later, I recieved the Holy Spirit. I knew i did because I spoke in a language i had never learned and i didn't understand. At that moment, I felt completely renewed. I knew without any doubt that God was real, the bible was true and I knew the plan He had for my life. My depression, paranoia and anxiety was instantly healed. The drug addiction was gone and so was my smoking addiction. I felt a peace and a joy that I had never ever experienced before. I was brand new. Everything that had formerly had control over me was out of my life for good.

You can have that same experience my friend. All you need to do is ask God to fill you with the Holy spirit. Pray outloud and He will give you a brand new langauge to pray in, one that is just between you and Him. And you will have a brand new life.

Have a read of these scriptures which talk about the experience.
    Mark 16:16-20
    John 3:3-8
    Acts 2
    Acts 10
    Acts 19:1-9

You can have a look at my church's website and hear testimonies from other people who have experienced the power of God in thier lives.
    www.revivalusa.org

And I'll be praying for you as well. Please feel free to contact me.
    God bless,
    Nikki

without reading everyone elses replys......(not sure if im doubling up here)

if a big part of you believes what you are doing is WRONG then after you do it you will feel GUILT........this is what is killing you and tearing you up inside..............

learn to love yourself.....( im okay )......what i do is my buisness and of no concern to anyone else as long as i am not forcing my will upon the unwilling......

basicly LEARN TO LOVE AND ACCEPT YOURSELF FOR WHO YOU ARE.......

PS i feel you would benifit greatly by talking with gay groups....simply because many of them have delt with this strong guilt

    hope this helps..........disperse

Great post hopefaithlove I hope more people discover who Jesus is. It's sad to see people trying to find Jesus in a coffin filled with dried bones. The Jesus Christ we know is alive and well, and He is a God of Wonder.
