I'm really blown away by my dreams lately. For a couple of years I've had occasional dreams where I'm either pregnant or had a young child. But this is just weird... I had several randomish "pregnant dreams" in just the last few weeks. And the last three nights they've been really long and vivid. 3 nights ago I dreamt I was pregnant. 2 nights ago I had a long dream where I was actually in labor in a tub in our kitchen... My partner, best friend, and mother were there along with (strangely enough) a couple people from this forum. And last night was the weirdest so far as far as surrealistic visions go... I was about 6 months pregnant, and as I went through the dream, I could feel the baby in me, and people kept on putting their hands on my belly to feel it moving around. I was even telling people why I planned on having the baby naturally, and why, despite having just had an ultrasound, I didn't want to learn the child's gender until birth. It was crazy. :&

I can't decide what to make of it. I'm not spending any more or less time with babies than usual. Other than finally finding a diet that seems to help me manage my PCOS and straighten out my hormones (I feel soooo much better!) everything in my life is totally normal. I don't know whether to assume this theme symbolizes something else in my subconcious, or that it's my bio clock, or a sign of things to come. :& Any ideas, suggestions, or similar stories, ladies?

I thought about posting this in the dreams forum, but somehow this seemed better. I thought more women would see it here, and I might get more response. :)

When I've had pregnanacy dreams, especially as many as yours, it usually meant that I was giving birth to something BIG...not a real human baby, but a big project, dream, what have you. Are you planning on doing something that really makes you happy?? Possibly, the dreams are predicting a big change in your life, likely a positive one. Maybe even a real baby, if you're aiming for that...

I had pregnancy dreams when I was planning a move from Colorado to Virginia 15 yrs. ago. I was very excited about this move, and it was a very "fertile" time for me. At one point, I was getting a little sloppy about getting things together before I moved, and I had a dream where I gave birth to a beautiful baby...when the midwife handed me that baby, I immediately dropped it. I wasn't too alarmed in the dream (I said something stupid like "Oh the baby will be OK, it'll just bounce like a ball"...I know, awful!!), and the midwife angrily corrected me. She told me what a precious baby I had, and how I needed to take care of it, or it would not grow...well, I took heed of that dream, and became more careful about things regarding the move...the move went very well, and turned out to be the wonderful experience it was meant to be...

Maybe this isn't what your dreams mean, but that has been my personal experience...good luck figuring out what yours are about!!

I think, sweet hummblebee, that you've got a classic case of baby lust. [IMG]

Well hummblebee, from reading your posts on this forum from the past several months I know that one of the big reasons you want to get healthy and get your hormones in order is so you can be a really healthy mama (which is so awesome, by the way).

So...maybe your recent dreams are just your body's way of saying "Hey, I'm getting in better shape to be a mama!"

i'd hafta agrreee that this seems like your body & mind trying to tell you something, preparing you, as your body regains health & a more fertile hormional ballance its affecting your dreams & preparing you for something, to be a momma most likely, althop it could be a big change or project like some1 suggested..
but with all the health changes im inclined to think its more about a physical think like a pregnancy.. soo congrats :)

I had a dream that I had a baby newborn and it was dying...
I started freaking out that it was malnourished and it def wasn't cute...
and then I breastfed it....and then I woke up not to long later..

It scared me. And made me feel awkward all day...

I named my dying dream baby, Clementine.

Interesting thoughts everyone! (((((and lots of hugs soaringeagle!))))) I've been thinking about this since yesterday, and had another dream of the same theme last night. I'm a little nervous... lace and feet, you are correct that I want to get healthy largely because if I ever get preggers I want to be a good mama, but actually getting there hasn't even entered my thoughts, that I knew of, until now!. The thing that makes me nervous about all this is just that my dreams in the past have had more a tendency toward the literal than symbolic, and I have had prophetic dreams before. (Like this, in fact, where I kept dreaming the same basic thing over and over again...)

In any case, it could be either way (an actual prophetic dream or just a symbol for a big physical change, or a subconscious way of keeping myself on track health-wise)... Funny thing is that, though I've stayed on track with my food intake, I've slacked increasingly on exercise. It's just so hard sometimes to get myself to go out into the cold and run, dragging my lazy dogs all the way. But last night after all these dreams, and all the thinking about them, I had a serious second wind. I got a good hour of walking/running, and pushups and situps in. All of a sudden I wasn't thinking abstractly, "down-the-line" about wanting to be healthy if I ever end up pregnant. I was thinking, "oh man, what if I got pregnant this year? I have a responsibility here!" lol...

So in conclusion, I'm either psychic or crazy, but either way I'm determined to be a healthy person. :)

That's cool hummblebee, I've had pregnancy dreams before. I always wake up before it's anything more than me just being pregnant. I'd have to say it's either your body getting in better shape and it's just telling you that whatever you're doing is working, of it could be a psychic type dream. Either way, congrats. :)
