Hey all, my names casey, i live in griffin ga, and i cant find a single place around that will hire me and it's because my hair is more than halfway dreaded and is lookin a little crazy, haha, does anyone have any suggestions at all? i'm desperate, not desperate enough to cut my hair though haha thanks
try a cd store.. iv seen some people with crazy ass hair working in cd stores. and do these companies tell you straight up its because of your hair? or do you just assume? maybe you are not calling them back after you apply? but if you are not wanting to cut the hair then go for a cd store or a smoke shop or somthing lol
trying to find more liberal stores to work at is the only suggestion i could give you, other than cutting your hair...i know cutting it or combing it or what ever might not be the greatest but it sure is nice to be employed...
Try a headshop, such as Starship Enterprises......you should know about Starship, living in GA and all.
Funny how people equate conformity and non-conformity to looks. REAL non-conformity is in how you think and live your life. Not how you look or how you dress. People who go out of the way to look different are just wannabe non-conformists.
If you're not desperate enough to cut your hair, sorry, but you're not likely what most people are looking for in an employee. It sucks, but when you're just a kid with no degree, you have to conform to looking somewhat professional, unless you get lucky enough to run across a liberal store that's hiring. Look around and see before you do something drastic as chopping off your hair, but don't let that be the one reason you don't work. Trust me, work experience is worth way more than making a statement with the way you look.
As much as I know nonconformity has nothing to do with looks- I also find it absolutly ridiculous that a place of employment would base whether or not to hire someone on something as silly as their hair.
do you think really long pubic hair hanging out of short shorts would hurt one's chances of getting hired?
I find so manual labor so much more satisfying then Mcdonalds... I've never worked at Mcdonalds. No offense to anyone. People do what they need to do to get by.
