They are kind of coming out slowly, the end of them about 2 inches are falling out and my hair is coming back!!! I had them done on Jan 2nd What can I do or use to help them knot up again? I havent been over washing or under washing, i've been rolling them but it just doesnt seem to be enough yet!!!
Simply the only thing you need is patience. If you had them backcombed then it is part of the process for them to start coming apart. I've had them for just over 2 months and they are just now starting to really form and grab the little loose hairs. I've also found that the more I wash (every other day or every 3rd) makes them come together more. Spritz some salt water on them, that should help them tighten up a bit more. Good luck and remember all you have is time
Yeah, I had them do this and eventually they were like "fuck yeah, we'll take care of this" And so they did.
Ahh excellent, last night i spent a good few hours sorting them out a bit, and im really not wanting to use wax or anything on them!!!! I use it on my mates hair for him and it works for him but not for me!!!! Thanks people x
I backcombed mine four months ago and there's still loose hair in the tips. As most of us say, be patient. I also agree with the saltwater, it really helps!
Don't play with them too much or you'l end up breaking the hair, Just use the Saltwater (tea tree oil optinal) spritz & wear a beanie & mabe palmroll them after wahing, I don't play with mine at all anymore & knotts up good.
Whatever you do, pleasssssssse do not use wax unless you have coarse africanized hair and whatnot. You'll probably end up regretting it, otherwise.
salt water/lock accelerator is not really a good idea either, it dries your hair out and can eventually lead to breakage and dreads falling out, besides that the benefits are only psychological. Just leave your hair alone, the only thing that makes dreads is time, and lots of it.
ride with it. have had mine for over a year and the ends are straight as a board, even though I have some tight locks. My hair is straight as pin when brushed, so this is to be expected. I like it like this!
