My hair about 4 and a half months old, I've lost so much length. I was the one that posted the natural.. is this normal/right thread. I still have so much loose hair that is way longer then the rest, but I guess it will suck it up soon. Yuck? Doing the right thing? Opinions please..
They look awesome! Try a smile though, sweetie. You look so unhappy! The dreads look great, don't be embarassed or upset over them. Embrace and enjoy the journey.
You guys are all so kind. Love to you all. xo Knotdirty, I'm not upset over them, I love them, I guess I'm just being impatient. I'm not used to my hair being so short. My Mum hates them though, she is always saying.. you're never gonna be able to comb that mess out, blah blah blah... But I'm a big girl and can do as I please.
Oh my! I think they are freaking gorgeous! You've got some tight knots up in there. Congrats to you and your patients. I know it's hard. I'm doing the neglect method too, I'm just behind you by 2 months. Keep up the great work!
Oh pretty knots! They look great, really. I know we all have those impatient days, TRUST me, I am on my 3rd set, LOL
They look amazing! That's pretty wonderful after only 4 and a half months! That's quick progress. How long was your hair to begin with? Also, how does your hair/head feel? Is it pulling anywhere? I ask because I am letting my hair dread naturally and it's about shoulder length. I've had backcombed dreads before, but they pulled so bad I had to get them out.
Personally i think the speed of evolution is amazing for the natural process. You go gurl. Peace and Love - kev
KyndMama07, my hair was a little past my bra strap to begin with. I haven't really had a lot of pulling, I just rip from the roots when needs be. I am surprised with the length I have lost though. I don't think I would ever have enough patience to backcomb.
