I underwent chemotherapy at the age of 14 for two years. During those two years i lost all of my hair and also my cycle completey stopped. At the age of 16 I lost my leg below now the knee. Now that has nothing to do with this but you probably would have asked me so am kinda saving my lazy ass time. but you want to know more your welcome to ask me.After everything and my hair started to grow back and my cycle started I never got on birth control. I was just wondering if anyone had any idea if I can even have kids. so get back to me.
This is a question best left to your doctor. If your doc hasnt specificly told you that your chances of having children has been lessened by the cancer and chemo then i would say you're perfectly able to conceive
What form of cancer? I have a couple of friends who had undergone chemo and they are still able to concieve. One of them has three healthy children. There were no complications during her pregnancies or deliveries. The first was a rather long labor, but I never heard that it had anything to do with cancer.
For conception purposes, chemotherapy should not affect it. Radiation treatment for cancer might, however. But have your doctor check you out.
