Great,....*sarcasism* first week back stories

Well, it's the first week of my junior year and already I'm being stereotyped and discriminated against by a teacher. He told me, "You damn hippy go wash your hair and cut your toenails! Go smoke some j and move to Montana to grow avacados, do mushrooms, and pick the fungus off your feet!" I actually thought it was pretty funny. I love it when a teacher has problems with a "type" of student. Silly old man.

Another story: I'm on close terms with the principal because I always want him to change things about the school. Last yr I asked him to stop the disection of frogs because it had no point as far as anatomy goes and is cruel to purchase these medically grown creatures. He walked into an administrator's office who I had asked if I could get a dr.'s note to not wear shoes, (I don't like them.) So the admin. asks the principal and he jokingly looks at my feet and says, "People who disect frogs are the only ones who can not wear shoes." ahhh,...fun times.

Any stories guys?

 

I wish I had some groovy stories like that, but when I asked to be let out of a disection lab, the teacher said, I either did that, or copied deffinitions. I just sat by everyone doing the disections.

I would ask to be able to wear no shoes, but my school is also the school that wont let us wear HOODIES, boys can't have ear rings, boys shirts have to have sleves, boys can't have hair past it's collar, there can be no facial piercings, no showing tatoos, and a few other things.

 

After being told by a principal and a counselor that I would be able to go to a different public school, I found out that I would have to pay $7800 to go there since Im out of district. Now it most likely looks like im going to be homeschooled, and theres a small possibility that i will go move in with my aunt and uncle and go to school down where they live.

 

College doesn't really leave any stories to yoru inagination. I just get a lot of weird looks, but most of the time- everyoneis really nice about. Their all very friendly, *sigh* I love college.

actually im cool with most of my teachers this year..cept for my chem teacher shes kinda a bitch

but i like my american lit teacher...shes pretty hip and she doesnt like the whorry jockish cheerleading types and she played hendrix for us in class

Nah I don't have any stories eithier, my school never did disection. Not sure why, probably because it's pointless cruelty. Well anyway, good for the frogs, but it might have been fun to protest.

My school was like that too, damn UK and uniforms. Even when we had non uniform days they still made up stupid rules.

 

LOL same here, well I'm starting uni soon but near enough.

Sort of true about doing your own thing, but not total. There are laws and such. But not about pointless petty things like the color of your socks.

no shoes in schools

 

I am so shocked at your stories, i have never heard anything like that! you all should move to my town. hahaha, seems like everyone's equal here. my teachers tell me i look like im from the 70s or call me flower child or tell me that they used to have a shirt like what i was wearing. They do laugh at my hate for shoes, ofcourse I wear sandals, but i only wear them walking to different classes. i set my feet on top of them during class. EVEN IN THE WINTER, they think its funny when i change my shoes before 1st period. The other students just call me "hippy" and they think im super smart for some reason because i read alot of books and i know a little about everything. I just pay listen and ask questions. THey like to pick my brain and its funny because im not in very smart classes, im just normal! and when it came to frog dissection, i just walked out and came back an hour later with the lab done and there was no problem. so nope, no descrimination here. ofcourse people notice and make comments, but only like, oh youre hippy hair is pretty or like you look very comfy in your tunic and twill pants.

 

OH and i forgot to say tat sometiems thaey let us not wear shoes, like if were in a rehearsal for music or theatre or if its after school or something.. i mean if were in a classroom and we're up and about, its no big deal, now i like my public school BUT for those of you who were talking about home schooling, you have it best b/c you can go to school in your pajamas and slippers

 

thats awesome. I don't go back to school till the 2nd, but I already am cool with my english teacher. Suposedly my french teacher is a bitch, but I can deal with that. Other than that, I don't really know any of my teachers

 

i dotn go back until the 8th... i dont even know who my teachers are, either way, if theyre not hip, then ill make them hip to me at least

Don't any of you wear pajamas to school? I used to do that a lot because I would wake up late and have to rush. It was always so comfortable. Except one time I did forget that I was wearing a long t-shirt and really short shorts, the underwearish type ones...I had to borrow pants from a friend...
so yeah, don't do that.

 

they dont let us wear pajamas or slippers because theyre "distracting"

 

Enjoy your school years everyone -- they are the best of your life. Only when i was in school did we go cruising around and have a case or 2 in the back seat. Or when it was ok to have a pill lunch. I remember when we went over to the pizza shop (which was conviently right next to the high school) -- have lunch -- go smoke and then return for calculus. Man, those were the days. Or when we went to party and got caught by the cops and ended up smoking HIS joint. Good times.

 

highschool was pretty much the best years there are. smokin n riding skipping class to smoke , skipping school to smoke, staying in school and smokin most of the teachers were cool with me usally. most of em called me smokinjoe as all the other peeps did. tried giving a peace sign in the senior class picture and was told (actually yelled at) that if i did that i couldnt be in the picture and i was like why there is no good reason she (princapal) got all pissy so needless to say i wasnt in the picture.

it looks like i will finish both my junior and senior year this year, and go to college after next summer. go me

 

I was being 100% serious about finishing up high school this year, i really do learn a lot better by myself away from distractions.

 

oh yay.....even more work. ill be ready for it tho
