Hey, theres like 5 kids in my school one of them is white, and they all got these brades done to there hair, pretty cool looking actually, and at first the brades are tight and after like a few weeks it starts falling a apart and breaking loose and u always just gotta play with it and like twist it and after like a month or two it actually becomes dreadlocks...any one hear of this method?!! this is what my plans goin to b b/c next to my house i could get hooked up to any hair brades iwant by like really skilled ppl so ill just ask them about it..... but if u heard about this lemme kno , talk about it, tell me what u think..... btw its wax free LOL jut to put that out there...
I have heard that they may dread but will stay braid-like in appearance for a long time. Dreading comes from friction (rubbing) and keeping braids in, I don't see how that can cause much rubbing.
a couple of my dreads were braids originally... biggest difference is they dread from root to bottom,,, therefore if yer hair has any length whatsoever it takes alonggggggggg time for it to all be dread.... they do look awesome though when they actually catch up to the braid...
