right im of no religion watsoever, bt ive had this weird thought on me mind bout this idea dat christians got why wud god send his only son down 2 earth and not go himself??? is he busy or just plain lazy? oh and why wud he allow his own son 2 b killed shortly after he arrives? doesnt that make god a pretty lousy parent?
god could be a lazy lousy parent rippling drunk loving ineptly and will probably improve with time . have you ever considered yourself as an ancestor ? that even , in zillion cycles from now some random person will be praying to you , you as a randomly honored ancestor in time , and improving too ..
First you need to understand that Jesus was God. The Bible teaches us that God exist in three persons. Father, Son, Holy Spirit and these three all equal one God. According to the Jewish faith in order to have a covering for sin there had to be a blood sacrifice. Thats why they sacrificed animals in the temple worship. Jesus death on the cross would be the final sacrifice for all the sins of the world. After Christ death on the cross Scripture teaches that all who give their life to Him would have eternal life.
Jesus' death on the cross was the climax of the gospel; it was God's plan for Jesus to die. Jesus died so we could be with God. God can't be in the presence of sin, so He sent His son to die for our sins. All that believe in Jesus and put thier faith in Him will be cleansed of thier sins and will be with God for all eternity. Jesus had to die for our sins, because we as humans are nowhere near perfect, and will never be; so now, all that accept Jesus' forgiving love and grace, will be perfect in God's eyes. This is why Jesus had to die on the cross.
