Kinda old topic but oh well. I practiced lucid dreaming on and off for about 3 years. Pretty much stopped trying a year ago. I'd estimate I've had around 50-75 lucid dreams. I know melatonin and vitamin B-6 can help with lucid dreaming if taken before bed. I may be slightly off as I haven't read anything on lucid dreaming in forever, but if I remember correctly the melatonin helps you remember dreams, while the vitamin B-6 makes them more vivid and makes you more aware, giving a better chance of realizing it's a dream. But if you're really serious about lucid dreaming I'd recommend taking those in addition to keeping a dream journal, doing reality checks throughout the day, etc...
Im what you would call a lucid dreamer, and im 15, I've been having lucid dreams without doing anything since before I knew what that meant, I thought that was normal dream procedure, so I have incredible abilities in my dreams.
