Yah,I saw Bill Maher last nite too,but all it did was piss me off.I consider myself fairly liberal, even tho I do tend to lean more to the conservative side of some issues.I don't vote for strictly one party or the other.I try to listen to what everyone has to say,& then decide who I think is best for the job. I normally like Bill's show,& meven if I disagree with him,I respect him for speaking his ind,and I'll at least listen to his side of an argument.Last season,he at least seemed to have that much respect for hs rep.guests.last nite it seemed as if he hunted down the 2 most obnoxious libs he could find, then found himself a mellow republican. The congressman barely got a word in.It was basically a 3 on 1 verbal assault.Even that author he had on first, the one that wrote the swift boat book,he'd barely listen to a word he said. The only reason he brought him on the show was to try to discredit him.I lost a hella lot of respect for Maher last nite.I understand alot of people are passionate about their beliefs, but in the end,we're still Americans.Trying to divide our country even more than it already is does nothing but put us farther back.I hope this makes sense and dont sound TOO much like drunken ramblings
Bill Maher is a comedian, and I'm pretty sure that was kind of a joke. BUT, I'd also like to say, he's right. Unfortunately, rioting will only prove them (The Bushies) right. It would be detremental to the cause.
