I love their self titled album so much. It's perfect. I really admire their use of samples and sampling techniques. They add an element that makes the samples seem like real instruments. Anyone else dig them?

the books have a self titled album? i have never heard that one.

but yes, i am partial to the band as well, hence the screen name. i've seen them live a couple of times. they are great. during their shows they have this one segment where they project the word "meditation" on this big screen and they keep mixing up the letters to create new silly phrases. its also nice to hear the songs and samples recontextualized for a live setting. its much different from listening to the record, but all the familiar elements are still there. because the songs are always in motion, always changing, it makes them feel so alive. god i love them.
