Is it just me or do there seem to be a lot of young mothers on this site? Like in the 18-23 range. Or, is my standard of what a young mother is, off?
Unfortunately, nothing is free. In 1988, Matt Haughey estimated the cost to raise a baby for one month in the US to be $847.63.
I don't think there's anything wrong with young mothers if they can adequately raise a child and have the means to do so. Unfortunately, many well-meaning mothers are content getting their children shot up with every unnecessary, toxic, mercury-loaded vaccine out there, feeding them formula and other chemical-laden junk, placing them on two or three psychotropic drugs to keep them doped and easier to control, and sending them off for six hours of state indoctrination five days a week. Since we live in an economy where both parents often need to work to make ends meet, when the children are not being raised and indoctrinated by the state at school, they are being raised by a daycare facility. Yet society considers this normal and healthy.
Or the children sit in front of the TV and zone out while the mother chats on the HipForums because she apparently has nothing better to do.
Yeah, that's kind of what I see as the problem in a lot of cases--they don't have the adequate means to do so. Many are still pretty much children themselves, and they haven't had the life experience which would be helpful in raising a well-rounded individual. That isn't always the case of course. I can think of a couple women in particular on this forum who are caring, responsible, and informed about how to raise a child well, despite them being young still themselves.
young mothers... there are a lot of advantages of this but it's up to evry girl i personaly wouldnt like to have a baby now or in the nearest 10 years
Started out makin sense, but then you just went berzerk on us. Tell us ol wise one, I can bet you are a product of what you are trashing, yet you seem to hold the ability to step aside and see what's wrong with society. If that's the case, what's really wrong with all that then? Oh, the ability to actually do something besides bitch about it..... *rubs nipples with hot butter* And your second post cut like a knife and i'm sure like 50% of the population here logged out and hugged their kids.
oh please not more of the vaccines are bad bullshit. but yes i agree there are a ton of young mothers on here, i just figured it must be a trend in america or something.
this actually starts a vicious cycle of these young women's children then posting on hipforums all day and themselves becoming pregnant young
Well, I was engaged at 19, married at 20, and had my oldest son at 21, then had my twins at nearly 25. My husband is 4 years older than me and we've been together for a total of 11 years. For us, we knew we wanted children early in life. It's not for everybody obviously, but for us, we've had no regrets.
Well from what I've seen on this site, all the young mamas seem to be very concerned and involved with their babes. No need to bag on the young moms...or even papas. I've seen young mamas and old mamas, I've seen planned mamas and unplanned mamas, I've seen white mamas and black mamas and you know what? There are plenty of good within each group and some bad apples too. Lets not groups mamas by their age or other silly subgroup. Besides, young is a relative word. Young compared to what, the old? Old compared to what, the young? Where's the fine line between the two?

You are absolutely right. I was vaccinated as a child. I was given formula, and I was sent to public school and put on Ritalin. I don't consider my words to be hypocritical because it wasn't my choice, but my parents, who are good people, but were just as uninformed as 98% of the parents out there. I am not saying everyone who gets vaccinated is going to be permanently damaged, but we know vaccines do cause brain damage and destroy the immune system. It varies in degree from child to child. Some people also cannot be brainwashed, and this is why I made it through 14 years of public schooling unharmed and with the ability to still think for myself. I was a horrible student. I didn't pay attention in class. I didn't do homework. I just barely made it by and I have absolutely no regrets about it. I think I knew deep down that it was all a bunch of bullshit. I was speaking in general terms. I was not speaking for everybody.
