In a word, no. IMHO, to imply so is to do violence to the text and makes no common or literary sense. Most of Revelation has come and gone. Isreal has been replaced as (or perhaps, never truly was) the apple of God's eye by the Church Universal. His promises to them was fulfilled centuries ago.
I do not agree with that way of thinking. I believe Christ will still return and Israel is one of the major signs of his return. Ezekiel 36:24 states, For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land. The Jews were kicked out of Israel in 70 AD by the Romans. The Jews scattered themselves around the world (That is why there are Jews in many nations other than Israel). In 1948, Israel again became a nation. Many Jews now stream to Israel every year. Depsite the violence, for some reason flocks of Jews are returning to Israel. The Bible mentions this migration many times. But this Ezekiel passage is quite clear. Furthermore, by turning on our televison you can confirm that this event is surely happening. What does this mean, I believe it gives more validity that the BIble IS the TRUE words of God written through men.
