I remember climbing out my bedroom window It's late, way past our bed times, I know Across the porch roof and down the lattice I climb through your window for a kiss, gratis We talk and we cuddle and we rub and make out We hug and we fondle, we're in love, there's no doubt We can't fall asleep, that would lead to our demise To awake and find your dad there, what a terrible surprise So I leave your house and head back to mine By 2 AM, that should leave plenty of time At least tonight I'll get four hours sleep Our secret's still safe, it's ours to keep After a few weeks, this routine gets old We decide to take the next step, to be bold We go up to my attic, with sex we experiment Not sure of what we're doing, but have a happy event As the weeks go by and time marches on We are getting more experience, our innocence gone We stayed together for nearly 4 years That's so much longer than any of our peers We grew older and the inevitable did come to pass No, not marriage, we split up, but alas We moved on, grew up and married other people You by a JP, me in a church with a steeple I bumped into your sister not long ago She had just gotten married, she still had that glow I asked about you, and if you were happy Did you have kids, she said no, just a puppy She said you live in the south, Florida to be exact But you were just here for her wedding, as a matter of fact To bad I missed you, a reunion would have been fun Could have reminisced, taken a drive, or a walk in the sun We both made our beds, picked our own choice But I still see your face, and can still hear your voice If ever a time comes that we meet again We'll have to exchange stories about "remember when?"
