hey hey people i need to ask your advice on something i live in a shared house of 15 people its great and i love it it a house for music and artistic people(im nether but hay its still great). but recently things have been going missing no one knows where our possesions are going to but we have a good idea whos taking them. now the lad in question is a nice enough guy but he wont admit he has a problem with stealing we've caught him out a few times like when he stole some of my cards(magic cards) and when he stole my freinds weed but on both occasions he denied it. the land lord wont do anything untill we have proof and more solid proof than our word so how to catch a thieve. suggestions please as i love my house and was able to leave anything laying about but now i cant even leave a dvd in the front room for people to watch thanks for any help given.

Purposely leave something in sight, but in someone's private space, that you know they'll take. Position a small videocamera/webcam nearby, where it'll catch the action. Make it unobtrusive and hard to notice. Bust his ass. Good luck....I'm all for communal living, but if you can't be trusted, you need to find somewhere else to follow your bliss.
I dont know what your situation is in your living . But if there was no space for him at the table at meal time, he may get the hint. Just a thought....
