Acid Trash, very truly, how is the women situation in Albania ? I´ve been there this summer and I thought, it´s normal (except in this ,,smaller version" of Kruja, what´s the name of this town ? I think Kruja and something, where were not a women except work places, on the streets only men), but in the other places, towns, cities, I thought that almost everything in the women status looks like in the other parts of Europe (but I stayed in Albania only for 2 days) so from this reason I had some hassle with my friend because he was angry on me, that I started to walk quickly and by himself, everybody was looking at us that I´m a woman and first on the line and he like a man walked behind me. He argumented than, that there is different mentality, but I guess that it was only a survival from his road in Syria. I didn´t believe that the situation with women status in Albania is that hard. Also, lot of people looked at us all the time, because it´s not so typical in Albania pilgriming with those big bags. Isn´t it ?
hm.. its mostly bullshit that people think that women rights are not at the european standard... there are parts of albania which still live in that old fashioned mentality but in small numbers. but for the bags... hahahhahahahhahah probably they knew that u were tourists so they were exited and wondering .
acid trash, yes that´s true. People were wondering about us....sometimes they paied for us (pilaf ) And they were hospitable, if they uncover, from where we came from.
