I don't have the time to read the rest of the posts here, but all I can say is that guy has probably had to deal with assholes all day. He also probably thinks you're an ignorant, petty wanker, for the simple fact you are wasting the very little energy he has. People who can't make up their minds are among the worst annoyances for shop assistants. He probably also expected a sorry and perhaps a hello, which you may not have given. He was probably behind on some sort of menial job that his asshole supervisor expected him to do. He probably hates you and every other consumerist fuck that comes in to the shop. I'm not justifying his behaviour, just giving you an insight into the mind of the broken hearted cashier. Let him be, and saying you're not going to shop there ever again is quite possibly music to his ears.
Very true ( VERY HOT cow in your sig too... I would tap that )... Anyhow... Don't hate people for their faults, try to understand that something caused those faults, and that not everyone can be as strong as you in this world.
People who work in customer service are usually self loathing masochists with deep seeded problems usually as a result of an abusive relationship, they need love. And thankyou rubin, I would tap your cow too.
LOL...that shows what you know. He quite possibly came into the position as a healthy minded, positive and tolerant individual, but became bitter over time and stayed there because he needed the money. Don't spout that crap.
It's observation, not crap. Just because you disagree (you have every right to) doesn't license you to be disrespectful. I feel your response was damned close to being out of line.
Thankfully it didn't quite cross that line Forgive me, you simply revised a cliche which I have heard over, and over again. Customer service is not some honourable line of work in which one must selflessly represent their company. A person represents themselves and should be able to say whatever the fuck they want to people, because at the end of the day, the consequences fall on him.
Very true... and those consequences should include the possibility of losing their job. I go out of my way to be civil to people who work in retail... I've been in their shoes and do not envy them. They are overworked, underpaid, and have to deal with every manner of arrogant asshole. When I worked in a supermarket it seemed that some folks came in with a chip on their shoulder- looking to pick a fight. No, the customer is not always right. HOWEVER Everyone represents themselves and when on the clock they represent the business that employs them. The effort to hold one's tongue is important. If it is impossible then my advice is to find another job. Around here that means finding one that likely pays better. It's a win-win proposition.
