Why is it evil? It gives things value and creates order in the universe. If everything was free, people wouldn't care about stuff anymore because they would not have to work for it. It would lose value...and if all our material BS lost all value, then what would we do???

Lol, JK.I don't think all material stuff is BS. Material stuff can be awesome...just when it is not sweatshop produced or produced with pesticides, and it's made with love and good energy.

With that said, here is a legit, eco-friendly work from home job opprotunity for everybody here - http://174486.amazonherb.net/LO_0_Main.aspx

I hate how money makes someone all of a sudden important...like Paris Hilton...
Your importance should not be equal to the cash in your wallet.
    Can't we value better things?
Can't a celebrity be someone of great ideas, wisdom, or kindness?

Wow a lot of good insight here! Don't know what I can add, but i'll say my piece.
I went to college to improve my prospects for higher income. It took quite a few years to rise up, but I had quite a few 6 figure years. But as been pointed out, your trading your life for it. And I'm finally mature enough to know that there's always more to make and more then that, and others who will make more.. thus, when does it end? when you die... and what have you accomplished?
Now i don't really care for it as i have enough toys to play with but the 'man' and his corporate machines have sapped my will to play and i need to work on getting that 'zest' back. fyi i'm now unemployed and not looking for work. one thing i hate is when people think that rich people would have some secret or wisdom to dispense just because they're rich. i try to tell people, having a lot of money makes you "wealthy", it doesn't make you a shaman, a wise political candidate, or anything else. I even liken the rags to riches corporate star to someone who hit the big lottery. they're both wealthy but whos smarter, the corporate guy that took 20 years to get there or the guy who hit in 3 days? i don't know...

i hate it i have done without it entirely for years we DO NOT need it wed be better off without it
    and there are alternatives
barter being the best system there is, not based on greed or on arbitratrily set values
hell through barter i've gotten things that would be assigned the value of hundreds of lil green papers that i had gotten by trading things that might if your lucky have the valkue of 2-3 lil copper disks..
the entire notion that this car is wortth 20,000 papers to every person who wants 1 is rediculouse
but no more rediculouse then the thought that 1 hour of a football players time is worth 5-10 million papers while the people who built the stadium, the ones who paved the parking lots, wired all the lights , & did all the backbreakling work of providing the footba;ll player a place to play his stupid lil gave might make 1/10th that in a lifetime if theyre lucky

how can anyone ever deffend such a system & say it works?
you only think it works if your enslaved by it

all the $ in the world combined isnt worth the life of 1 tree cut to print it

Very true post, Eagle. Those different paychecks are a weird thing indeed, as being a garbage man, construction worker or carpenter is as much a profession as being a manager, lawyer or footballplayer. Or unfortunately, those paychecks aren't weird, but when you take a closer look at it, it just seems bollocks to me indeed.

moneys a pathetic excuse for everyone around the world to go bankrupt or in debt. why does a piece of paper have that much power? its just another way the government can have control of us.

Honestly I have no care for money. If I have it I give it away to others or spend it on something i wanted(nothing important), and no I have about only $4 to my name

    Anyhow...

I'm selling souls, I have 7 of them, sold to me previously (usually for a soft drink, or lunch)... I did give up a harmonica for a soul once though.

Anyhow... 100$ a soul... you people don't need money, so you might as well get a soul. Most of these souls are Honduran, but there is also an American one, and a British one in there.

I despise the whole concept... but as a permanently installed asset to human existence, I say give me all you've got.

I don't give a damn about paper. But every movie, album, game, drug, and piece of literature that I love so dearly will only come to me with money. So, while it is a stupid system which has spawned evil beyond the farthest reaches of most comprehension, it does reign supreme over our earth, and can be utilized quite successfully to attain that which you desire....

    Its a gas, you know...

it makes people do desperate foolish things. i live on a fixed income and just get by but really have no complaints. tha material things don't mean so much to me. sure there are certain things i would like to have but i can get by without them. i value my friendships and family and the like more than a piece of paper. my only gripe is i don't get to go to many shows because of the price of tickets and gas money. i live vicariously throw the archives and the shows i do get to attend are all the more special.

So your only real problem is entertainment wise... fixed income is fantastic even better if you have molded you life and life style to it, that means you have the safety of knowing that things are going to stay the same. Unlike my life I have no idea whats gonna happen next month etc... I wish I could be in the same situation as you.
