Seperating Ephedrine from guifenasin(sc)?

I was just curious as to how one would go about seperating the ephedrine and guifenasin(sc) in a pill? Is it difficult to do? Any ideas?

Stiney, it's as easy as looking it up on google "ephedrine pills" or something like that. Ephedrine is controlled though, since there is a meth 'epedemic', so I'm not sure *how* easy it would be to get online.

 

I presume you mean in America. I do not live in America and ephedrine is illegal here, so of course I am not in possesion of any and have absalutely no intention of taking posession of any, this is all strictly hypothetical.

 

You would think so wouldn't you, but googling various variations of similar searches produces no information on the subject, niether is their any infromation to be found on erowid.

 

So having cleared that up, hypothetically does anyone on here know how the hypothetical procedure would go to seperate guaifenisin and hypothetical ephedrine that have been pressed together into a hypothetical pill? Any information would be much appreciated.

I can't believe people are able to give links and explanations on everything from synthesising LSD to methcathinone but no one seems to know how to seperate ephedrine from guaifenisin?

 

fs means perform an acid/base extraction...and I suggest using a solvent which suits your purpose, something closer to the polarity of epinephrine than guaifenisin.

 

Seperating the guaifinisen from the E is probably gonna be the easy part, finding shit to stick in pills to prevent extraction is big business these days. wetdreams.ws has tons of info. If all else fails, ephedrine will steam distill (as the base).

 

I've never heard of Ephedrine extraction anyway. I'm sure it's been done, but it isn't as well documented as a lot of the other separations out there. Acid/Base works for a lot of things as well. That's how I get DXM out of cough medicine, it works amazingly.

Best of luck. If you do get this to work, fill me in on how you did it. I can't seem to find ephedrine alone in pills anymore either, and I've been interested in using it for school (but it wouldn't be necessary to extract at levels I'd need for school anyway, but ya know.....lol).
