This place is so dead now. Last I remember, it was constantly active, pretty much 24/7.

It is kind of true, now that I think about it... it only gets really active at night...

Maybe it's because most of us have jobs.

Transformer is good, but come on "This is the place where she slit her wrist, that odd and fateful night"....nothing gets better than documenting the downfall and suicide of a junkie hooker.

Hell, I'll try to do a top, and fail miserably.

These are albums I appreciate for my own purposes, not for any type of critical appreciation I have for them, other wise the list would be made up of entirely Otis Redding, Miles Davis, and...shit, I don't know...but you get the idea.

No order, just off the top of my head/flipping through my library:

    1. Berlin - Lou Reed
    2. What Would the Community Think? - Cat Power
    3. In a Priest Driven Ambulance - The Flaming Lips
    4. 13 Songs - Fugazi
    5. Music From the Adventures of Pete & Pete - Polaris
    6. Up - R.E.M.
    7. From Her to Eternity - Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds
    8. Madvillainy - Madvillain
    9. Small Change - Tom Waits
    10. John Lee Hooker Plays and Sings the Blues - John Lee Hooker
    11. Liquidizer - Jesus Jones
    12. Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables - Dead Kennedys
    13. Black Dots - Bad Brains
    14. Nebraska - Bruce Springsteen
    15. Midnight Marauders - A Tribe Called Quest

    Okay. Make that top 15.

Edit: Goddammit, totally forgot a lot of shit. Talking Heads, Joe Jackson, The Germs, Elvis Costello, The Mountain Goats, The Buzzcocks, The Specials, The English Beat, Mazzy Star, Elliott Smith, Peter Gabriel...

    FOCK

Yeah...if grunge had happened in the 80s in England, it would have been Jesus Jones.

But grunge is like so Cobain man, Cobain is like the word to describe grunge man. He wrote great songs like man... Smells Like Teen Spirit... that song was rightious! I used to headbang to that back in middle school. It was Courtny man, that slut... she did it! She DID it!

And this thread is about what again?

Anyhoo, how are you my dear boy? I haven't been on much myself but its good to pop up and see oldies but goodies such as yourself. I have (as you can see in my sig) had another kid. And this one is sitting on spinners......looking fly in his 2006 fully decked out Jumperoo.

As you can also see, I'm as bored as ever

Jesus, lady, how many kids do you have now? And how do you afford them? And can I make your next one?

And I've been good. Gonna go get high in a minute.
