I'm gonna be there regardless, but is there any way you can tell me who some of the "remix's" used to be. I would hate to miss any of my favorites because I didn't recognize the name.

Lovin, I would like to have the time to type out all the bands bios, if you would like you can goto the goodstock website and click on the Bands Banner and next to each bands is their website and all their info.. I don't know who your favorites are sweetie.

    Bright Blessings

I put a notice for a ride on the Yahoo group. Hopefully I'll get some hits. It'll be me, my brother, and this guy I'm seeing. Two guys and a girl. We'll be camping at the site which is easier in the first place they say. We'll also be arriving the day before the fest. The closest the bus will go is Charleston which is supposed to be an hour away from the fest.

There. After the rally today, I went around and plastered a bunch of Goodstock flyers at every head shop, record shop, and bookstore that would allow me to hang them up. I also went down to the strip next to the University of Tennessee and hung up flyers on lightpoles. Of the people I've talked to, I've gotten quite positive responses.

Way to go brother!! that's the spirit, you got it.. thank you, yes yes yes.. it wasnt hard at all was it. It is fun, it is beautiful, it is majic.. it's all about the love, the music and the people.. wow great doing..

It's like being on a great adventure, all aglow with antisipation and revitalizing energy to go out and be part of what's happening here.. it's golden. A precious part of great spirit that is in us all.. calling us to join together in celebration of life, love and our own kinda music.

I have contacted around 300 internet radio staions, placed hundreds of flyers.. I been placing flyers for a yr. at flea markets, trade days, craft/arts shows, any place where people gather.. I had planned to go to Dallas this weekend to a huge bike rally but had to stay home to cater a big birthday party here last night for about 60 people. Next time.

I broke my foot earily this morning and it will be a couple of weeks b4 I can do any leg work.. help a broke footed sister out and place some flyers,please.. would ya help take up some of my slack.

    Brightest Blessings

Hey all, I was just checking out the site and noticed a few odd things. First I read on the poster "Peace and brotherhood from new york to california" and started thinking, well, what about us up here in Canada? and then i read on and read that "Goodstock is a cooperative effort with an army of grass roots and professional supporters in the USA, South America, Europe, Asia and Australia"

    so........

    Is canada not welcome?

does nobody up here care or are involved?

I haven't visited hipforums in a while, and look what I come back and stumble upon :) . I've only known about this for a few days now, but I'm almost certain I will find a way to be there. I'll probably buy my ticket sometime in the next week or two and worry about how I'm going to save up some money and find a reliable means of transportation to make the 13 hour drive up later. I love the positive energy you guys have. Makes me hopefull that Goodstock will live up to the purpose behind it. Maybe I'll see some of you there. Shameless, I'm sorry to hear about your foot, I hope you have a quick recovery. I'll do my part to spread the word around a bit so you can sit back and relax and let the healing happen.:)

Hey Everyone.. we need two 16ft flatbed trailers to make a stage with.. we need lighting for this new stage and stage hands.. c'on if you want to be involved this is your chance.. You will be compensated for your contribution. We need lights and sound techs to man this stage.. we have one stage coverd, but we are getting more and more bands coming in.. we need to have another stage and setups. Lookie here.. we got some great talent on board and we want to keep them all.

Y'all know we dont have sponsers to do all this for us, like other festies, but Goodstock is different, it's the peoples festie and we NEED you people to help. It will make you feel good all over. I may be able to come up with One flatbed trailer but that is kinda iffy.

It's a little difficult for me to get things like that together from Texas to WV.. over 1,000 miles.. we need some peeps closer to WV to take a load of Annie :)

I know there are ones out there that can help, so cut loose with it and let's get er' done. Step up to the plate batters.

I've applied on the goodstock site to be a volunteer, but I haven't got anything back. I would love to lend a hand, as long as it wouldn't keep from the experience.

Lovn' Hang in there sweetie.. we are getting there.. we are at the contract phase and lining up the bands play list who will play at what time and what day.. this is a lot of detailed work.. having to get each band to be comfy where Larry works them... what we really need is to sell tickets.. besides that we do need workers that have experience in sound, lighting ect.. we do need hands too and I'm sure Larry will get to your application soon. It cost 30 n sometimes 50K to raise a stage that fits to eveyone specifications.. try pleasing 300 peoples backlines, favorite kindsa root beer, triple quilted super absorbant rosemary scented toilet paper, and Mayo, not Miracal Whip, ohh and could you please pass the grey pupon :) At woodstock we woulda been happy with some purple berries ;)

It's just the way things are now. There are so many details, behind the sceens stuff, like preperation, we are out on open land, we have to build everything we need. You get the picture. It don't build itself and the materials aint free.

The trade off for volunteers and duty is 3 days, 4 hours a day.. the rest of the time is yours to enjoy.. two free pass's, T-Shirt and other memorabilia, food/drink and a campsite.. you will have to furnish your own tent, sleepingbag ect. Seems like a good trade off to me..

    see ya there..
