A pair of wild raccoons can drown a black bear.

And they can be as nasty as they are smart. I have a buddy that lost 2 dogs because raccoons lured then into the water then drowned them.

polar bears fur isnt actually white, its colourless. the fur is made of clear hollow tubes which is rough on the inside which makes light reflect in all directions making it look white.

polar bears have black skin to retain heat from the artic sun.

polar bears are covered from head to foot in fur, even the bottom of their feet are fured.

the polar bear is the largest four footed carnivor on earth.

the polar bear is classed as a marine animal.

The male snowy owl is all white, whilst the female usually has black spots and is bigger. They're not nocturnal, and they're quite large and can be very aggressive.

starfish have no brains, and can regenerate if cut to where part of the vascular system is left in tact.
Male seahorses are the ones who give birth to and care for the young.
A shark can detect a single drop of blood in over a million gallons of water.
Sperm whales routinely suffer from "the bends" while deep-sea diving for prey.
Flamingos are pink because of the color of the krill and stuff that they eat.
A whale's song can carry for miles underwater, as water is a much better conductor of sound waves than air.
Killer whales from different areas have different accents.
Manatees' closest living relatives are the elephants.
There used to be cheetah-like, rhino-like, camel-like and elephant like animals in North America during the last Ice Age.
Southern Ohio has the highest, most diverse concentration of salamander species in North America.
White cloud mountian minnows are one of many aquarium fish considered extinct in thier native habitat, and only perpetuated thru the aquarium trade.
The ancient River Dolphin of the Yang Tze was declared extinct just here recently.
And (I think) sasquatch are real. :)

I think they are real too!

Here is some stuff about squirrels... I like squirrels.

Squirrels spend a lot of time and energy eating. They eat more than their body weight in food each week.

Squirrels can jump up to 5 to 6 feet vertically, and they can leap 8 to 10 feet between objects.

They have the ability to cling from objects with their back foot toes (with support from their tail) which allows them to hang upside down and use their front paws to stuff their faces.

Squirrels have a highly elevated olfactory sense; they can smell food from great distances. This, of course, makes it easy for squirrels to detect the food we put out for the birds. You may see squirrels "running" away with food from the feeders. Squirrel frequently hoard food for a later time. Finding the food they hoard is mostly dependent on squirrels smelling where it has been hidden.

Squirrels deliberately try to make drivers crash their vehicles by suddenly running across the street.

Squirrels are omnivores; they eat a wide variety of plant food, including nuts, seeds, fruits, fungi, and green vegetation, and they also eat insects, eggs, and even small birds, smaller mammals, frogs, and carrion. In tropical areas, these foods often replace nuts.

I once saw a black squirrel... scared the crap out of me! I've never seen one before, it jumped up on a curb and took this aggressive stance and I swear it stared at me! Scary black squirrel.... maybe I should have reported it to the local animal and wildlife organization... I've lived here 25 years and never seen a black squirrel.

guinea pigs eat their own poop.

Yeah, hi. i'm a newcomer to the forums. I had a guinea pig that, instead of eating its poop, it would pull it out of its butt and drop it on you. after a while i just thought it might be a sign of respect. if any of you know please tell me, as i am still puzzled as to what it means.

I saw these squirrels at this campground i went to, and they were litterally the size of raccoons! i swear to god i'm telling the truth. it was actually pretty freaky.
