This is one I wrote back in about november 2001. Falling. Outside a gentle rain Silence of autumn leaves Regiemes are falling Aircraft falling Fall 2001. The pound , dollar and euro falling Eve falling Adam falling Ash falling on sleeve Night falling on the fallen day Routine souls on the conveyor-belt Of mortality falling Jivatmas through smoke and night falling Expectations falling Temperature falling Trees in Amazon basin falling Child soldier in afric war falling Blood of young god slain falling Water table falling The ship ‘karnak’ falling Earth falling Galaxy falling Behind closed eyes still bodies Sleep falling Words falling on deaf ears People falling on hard times Price of meat in the human-market of China falling In the end silence will fall.
I liked this quite a bit, BBB... my favorite was "Behind closed eyes still bodies" because it seemed perfectly out of place... This was a beautiful peace, creating a sensation of falling.
*sighs!* I couldn't have found a better time to stumble across this poem. I've been circling this theme, thoughts, events and here I come and read this piece which strikes a destinct cord inside me. I love this poem, it's haunting and heartbreaking to me and as I was reading each line, I was falling along....
I enjoyed your flow and depth... you might say I fell, in the stream of your poem, and was carried gracefully through it.
