I have a quick question as to making brownies. Can I just make the batter then add the bud into the batter and bake it?

Or do I really need to make the canabutter?

    Thanks

you really need to make a THC butter/oil first. you could just throw weed into the batter and yes, during baking it would leach out some of the THC, but such a method would be far less effective. this makes sense if you think about it.

just grind up the weed and *gently* simmer it in vegetable oil. you can strain the herb out afterwards if you really want to. then add the THC oil to the batter and bake!

p.s. i highly recommend using "schwag" or any bud that is not "smoke-worthy" because there is still a lot of THC in "shitty" weed, especially when it's cheap!

That's what we did, except we put the weed in pantyhose, then put it in the veggie oil. That way, we didn't have to strain it.

How high do you get when you eat the brownies? Is it worth a try?

You have to use a double boiler to cook the thc into the butter or you will lose potency.

You have to use at least a 1/4 of an ounce to feel anything.

The best brownie mix to use is the one that calls for oil instead of butter.

And yes if prepared the right way, it is definitely worth making and consuming.

good strategy; but, i still don't like the idea of the hot oil leaching out the various chemicals in the synthetic fabric....

a double boiler is a great idea, but it's still not necessary. it may, however, be easier than trying to maintain the oil's temperature at a gentle, consistent level.

are you talking about using 1/4oz for a batch or per brownie? i put about 1g per brownie and i can't eat a whole one without passing out. 0.3g gets me nice and baked; 0.5g gets me super stoned; 0.7g becomes too much and i start losing muscular control; an entire gram and i'm likely to just pass out. that's with schwag, too.

    peace.
