Hmmm..Lets see here I'm vegetarian as are my folks and my older brother has gone back to a vegetarian diet as well but he's still gently working on his wife and kids to do the same. I hope to find me a cute lil' veggie girl. My last g/f was a carivore. :H btw: I did manage to convert two out of my three best friends to a veggie diet. Well its a bit chilly so I'm gonna go put on my warm wool sweater and wool hiking socks(try doing some serious hiking in non wool socks and see what happens to your feet) then I'm going down stairs and snack on some whole wheat toast w/ butter and honey.mmmmmm. Shouldn't discussion of ambian be over in one of the drug forums?:jester:
yes haha ambian is also a prescription medication for sleeplesness....ut ambian is also the description of a vegan who consumes honey and uses beeswax.
just recently became vegetarian and im concidering veganism just seems a tad too oveerwhelming to jump straight into so im gonna slowly drop dairy
I am a semi- vegan....I began my lifestyle at 16. Thankfully, my fam was/is really supportive, even though I drive my mother crazy with ingredient questions. No animals, fish, eggs, or dairy. I eat honey and I love to wear silk though!
Vegan. I started out as a vegetarian when I was 7 or 8 and early last year became vegan. I honestly don't see myself ever changing my ways and going back to eating dairy or meat. I'll be vegan for the rest of my life On the topic of people buying things I can't eat/wear...for Christmas one of my grandmas got me a down vest It was the first present she's ever gotten me in my whole life and I can't even use it haha...I'd like to give it to my aunt who loves that kind of stuff, but I'm afraid one day my grandma'll ask me to wear it or something and it won't be there. I hate having to turn down food and stuff though, my family always makes me feel guilty and gets mad when I try to explain.
I have to say, I think I have it easiest! I am the only vegetarian in my family, but they have always endeavoured to accept my choices (not that it makes a huge difference to them anyway)! Sometimes they slip up but then I just end up explaining why I'd rather not eat this or wear that, and they understand and we all have a little chuckle about it and carry on. Even my fiance's family are non-plussed by it. I have had people ask questions rather than make fun or ridicule me - my response to them is that everyone has foods they don't like and I'm not that much different!
Vegan- but I don't see it as terribly important to get rid of wool or leather that you bought before you made the moral change- I still wear an old down jacket etc. I've been vegan for like a year and a half now...it's been really good.
We're all at different stages, that's cool. I'm a strict vegan, ex-raw foodist and fruitarian. Ambian, never heard of such a thing! Something new...
I heard of ambians in vegnews magazine..i know they exist...basically they believe in beekeeping and letting bees work to make stuff because bees do it naturally.
i have been trying to go vegan but its difficult for me. especially when i go visit my dad. my husband says he'll go first and then when we visit my dad he can do the cooking. lol! sadly i can't cook ^_^
lololol...i found its much easier to cook for vegans than omnivoresor vegetarians even...cheaper too!
