    hi,

I am growing and have had sucess with using brwn rice flour and vermiculite. They fully colonized all that... but I ran out of spores. Can I just take some of the mycelium from one of the jars to innoculate new substrates? if so how long will the mycelium be viable? thanks a lot

Run a much higher risk for contamination. If you have some that are fully colonized, wait for the first flush, and let one of them mature and make a spore print. Prolly best bet.

as mentioned above you can let some of your caps open up all the way and cut them off the stem and set the cap on like sterile wax paper or plastic and make your own spore prints or you could look into growing with rye, basically it boils down to EACH fully colonized rye jar can make 10 more in its place in no time and well the sky's the limit then =)
