I was looking at the suicide girls website last night and was wondering what other women thought about them. So basically, what are your opinions on the suicide girls?
I'd give 'em a thumbs-up. I guess it depends on whether or not you're into that kind of thing, though. I can say 100% that they AREN'T degrading or anything, though. They aren't TOO picky about their models, either. Of course, any model has to fit what any company/agent is looking for, but they're fairly accepting. I have a friend that is now a Sucide Girl (just got approved about a week and a half ago) so I can say for sure, they don't deny certain models over silly things like weight. The girl that I know is a "bigger" girl I guess, and she's absolutely gorgeous, but the weight thing would normally stand in her way. I respect that they actually DO have real, natural girls on their website.
yeah, i was kinda considering giving it a shot, but i'd have to somewhat change my look i think. now i'm kinda plain. i don't have a killer body, but i'm a normal weight, i have brownish/blonde hair, but i have a different look about me. i would want to have kinda different hair and a few facial piercings (i took out all my other ones), but i don't know when i would have time. it would have to be when i didn't work b/c of my job. and then i'd have to shave. lol i would like to look like that for a while, but i think i'm just too much of a hippie actually. lol
theyre attractive but... the pictures they post, the models no longer own. the site takes full ownership/responsiblity/distirbution of them so the models cant use them on their own, cant take them away from teh site when they no longer want to model, etc. or so ive heard
DO NOT JOIN THE SUICIDE GIRLS!!!! you have to sign a contract that states that you can not pose for anyone else, so basically they own your body. Plus, it's a popularity contest.
My feelings towards the Suicide Girls can be summarized as "ew." If that is your thing, though, that is your thing. It certainly is not mine. Hey, to each their own.
^thanks so much everyone. that's kinda freaky that it's kinda like they "own" you. i read some articles by ex-suicide girls and i've decided against it. thanks everyone.
i seen their special on hbo i believe it was.. just seems to me at least, that its the "outsiders" doing their own elite thing which becomes common like popularity and such. i dont know, its weird really, but hey if you want, go for it.
i've heard that they mistreat the girls and basically do "own" you because you have no say when those pictures are taken down. also, you can't pose for anyone else. i read an article somewhere by a few ex suicide girls that said all of that, i'll see if i can find it again.
On the surface, they're really hot. And fabulous. But yeah, the fucking SG business is so rule-laden, strict, they have to pay for their own photoshoots ($400-800 a pop and SG only gives them $200 per shoot), and apparently the guy who runs it was overheard calling them "dispensible whores" :| Not cool!
isn't it run by a girl called missy suicide? i'm interested to hear all this negative stuff about them...but PLEASE be careful it isn't just rumours. post some proper sources.
ill try to find the like to the article i read by an ex suicide girl...her name started with an "a" but i can't for the life of me remember it.
SG pays $500 a set now, I am actually thinking about sending in another set. they are very particular now and wont take anything that isnt A+..... lighting has to be good, no blurry pics, if you take em yourself you really do need some flair for photography.... you do not have to hire a photographer, but you have to really put work into it!! I haven't had a set posted but I havent heard anything bad from the girls that are on the site currently. I know they do not like for you to model on any other sites............. and you have to sign a contract!!
These links have info: http://blog.myspace.com/boycott_suicidegirls http://suicidegirlx.com/ I was thinking about applying, but now I don't know.
I think women can do more progressive things with their time in today's world to make money and enjoy themselves. JMO.
