I did an offering and burned some incense sacred to Venus that I made, which would be the planetary equivilent.
I put some plastic eggs out in the yard for my son to find. This Saturday, we're going to dye some eggs and hunt them. Then Sunday we're going to an open Circle. Blessed Ostara all!
Our tuatha meets at the river where we enjoy several diverse and ethnic celebrations, including leaping over nine fires (Persian).
We celebrated with the Ancient Tradition of All-You-Can-Eat Wonder Sushi. Yes, AToAYCEWS goes way-way back to our ancestors. WAY BACK! We're talking, go long and run with it, six points for us kinda back. Equinox has never really been a big deal for us ritually. We observe solstice with a good deal of thought and structure but found that the other times of year in the Big 8 are seasonally askew from local weather patterns/seasons so we adjust things a bit... This soon bring us too our next turn of the wheel on April first in which we will practice an even more ancienter tradion of: The Road Construction Ritual. This year's is particularly auspicious as it falls on a Sunday (as did the first RCR ever preformed) which is the Holy Day of Time and a Half. :1eye:
