i have always wondered when people wake up, why they are they way they are in the mornings. in a bad mood, groggy, pissy, sarcastic, a bitch, mumbling under their breathe, etc. and i cant stand it. Of course I'm not talking about everyone here just people in general that do this, including my dad. Hes the WORST when it comes to this. for example, he will wake up and i have been up for hours already and he will just walk in the room looking like a zombie and bust open the door and have this what the fuck are u doing on this planet kind of look. and mumble somthing that makes no sense at all, and walk back out. its funny but strange. people are just fucking weird when they get up imo. i wake up feeling likea million bucks every morning. but does anyone else have funny stories that relate?
I'm on autopilot when I make up. I had to create a little morning routine for myself so that I don't get lost in the daze. It's simple, yet it keeps me on my toes: I wake up with my alarm clock set on the classic rock radio station. When I'm lucky it's Pink Floyd, when I'm less lucky it's Lynard Skynard. I then get up, put my clothes on, go to the fridge, grab a drink, take a sip, put some breakfast thing in the microwave, make a toast, or do something of the sort... while that is cooking go outside, smoke a cigg, say hello to the cows next door and to the rising sun, come back... feast!
Sounds great! I bet it really works too. I have my radio set with country music when i wake up because it somehow wakes me up quick and alert because i dont care for it that much and i take it out by bashing my alarm clock and end up with a smile on my face. I then get out of bed and do 20 jumping jacks and slap myself in the face, go get some coffee and poor it on my crotch,(only kidding). I did smoke but i leave that part out now which makes me feel 100% better in the mornings not ever wanting one. Having a morning routine and waking up around the same time everyday really helps out alot.
I'm only cranky in the morning if I haven't had enough sleep which I think is totally understandable.
I'm on autopilot during the weekdays because I wake up earlier, I'm usually pretty quiet, irritable, sullen even, until I've had some coffee and breakfast, but on the weekends, I wake up a little later, I usually feel great, and I'm in a really bright and bubbly mood.
I love to wake up the first thee songs to Relics: Arnold Layne, Interstellar Overdrive, See Emily Play.
Haha, I usually listen to Interstellar Overdrive at work when I feel like I need to wake up. I used to listen to See Emily Play every morning before school in high school, I love that song.
I'm cranky when I'm short on sleep. The only times I've ever woke up to the glorious morning was when we used to set the alarm to 4AM to drop acid and fall back to sleep. You have the greatest dreams and wake up with a "bluebird on your shoulder." :sunny: :hurray:
i'm pissed off because i don't want to deal with the BS and the shitheads at this school i get in a better mood once i meet my friends for breakfast though.
when i get up i'm not that irritated, but rather "lost" i cant perceive the reality till i take a shower... then i feel much better in general i think people are so dull coz sleep is the sweetest thing on the earth and it's hard to let it go.....
Morning? hahaha I woke up at 5pm yesterday, 2pm the day before, 5pm the day before that, and I didn't even sleep the night before that. I CAN'T wake up in the morning, unless I have a job or some weed and can't wait until the afternoon to smoke. Still, 5pm wake-n-bakes are nice, for some reason. Anyway, whether I wake up in the morning or in the afternoon, I am rarely cranky beause wake-n-bakes help me start all of my days on the right foot.....just feel refreshed, relaxed but not tired or sleepy, and I am super cheery.
^Me too I'm not often cranky when I first wake up unless I didn't get enough sleep- then watch out... seriously.
I also go to sleep in the morning and don't get up until sometime in the late afternoon/early evening. There seems to be a trend in the making. When I first wake up, I don't talk to anybody and just sit around all wide eyed and half asleep. Apparently I look like an owl when I wake up, or so I've been told. It takes me a few hours to fully pull myself out of dreamland.
