A short post shall follow Is YouTube nothing more than a Myspace for videos? The fact that so many stupid, pointless things become so famous on that site. YouTube could be a great outlet for filmmakers (especially experimental folk) and other artists. All they need to do is upload a dang video >.> Yet those people get absolutely no attention. So...If im opposed to the idea of owning a Myspace, should I be opposed to YouTube as well? o.o Im confused >.< Discuss Lol.
youtube is not myspace. i think it is fair to use it for hosting. btw, google bought youtube. myspace sucks but youtube isnt that bad. it is not run from crappy servers and lazy/stupid programmers.
Youtube seems pretty good. There's an add-on for Firefox which lets you download the original video files from Youtube. They will be in FLV format which isn't read easily by video players. Free software such as the Super video converter will convert the FLV to many other easily readable formats, such as mpg or wmv. .
