Hey there! I've had a sore throat for a couple of days, and was just wondering if anyone had any natural remedies for soothing it? I'm so sick of pills and medicines, and would love to be able to use more body-friendly from-the-earth stuff!

    I always go for tea:
    * Tea with honey and lemon.
    * A fruity tea with some slices of fresh ginger

There's also "throat comfort" teas out there. Yogi Tea makes a particularly good throat-comforting tea. It tastes kinda funky, lotsa licorice and other stuff in there, but works great!

Mix a few table spoons of honey in OJ and boil it....drink it HOT and it'll help a sore throat for a while.

    in addition to the honey/ginger/lemon
you can boost your immune system with echinacea, vitamin c, raw garlic

a grandma that i used to work with at an herb farm would always tell me to
dissolve a ricola in a cup of hot tea and drink it for a sore throat. it helps a lot!

Lemon and honey tea is the way forward. Honey has natural anti-biotics.

I like to keep (room temp) reeds extra ginger brew by me at night when I get a scratchy throat. It is wonderful, that and hot tea with honey.

Yes! Yes teas! Herbal medicines (which is a brand of tea..or at least thats whati think the name of it is) has a kind of tea called Throat coat which is very tasty and numbs the throat making it feel muuuch better. Green teas also are good and echinacea tea (which they also make). For green tea i really like yogi tea brands-they're so very yummy.
Also, take some lime juice w/ a bit of raw garlic and mix it up. Take it like a shot (i wouldn't recommend drinking the piece of garlic though) and because it tastes gross take a teaspoon of honey afterwards. It works wonders!

I heard sleeping with your mouth open is a main culprit for sore throats, snoring as well does it too, and the most dreaded, Talking in your sleep, Try turning the heat down in your place, It just may do the trick. i agree honey, green tea. I would kinda stay away from drinking acidic things 1st thing in the morning until your throat gets better because it might burn really bad. If youre into cough drops, they make a green tea w/ honey cough drop that helped me out a bunch of times!!!!
