Solar Power Life

    I just started my solar powered life..

    i got 2 large solar panels
    a tent
    3 batteries
    1 labtop with AirCard From Verizon
    Tmobile Cellphone with camera
    1 bike
    Normal camping gear.
    Im starting out in South shore of Mass.

    How big are these panals? Is the plan to carry them along with all your camping gear on your bike? Sounds like quite a load.

    Solarpowerman, I like your set up. I'd also have to keep a cell phone, no matter how simple I lived. My parents and brothers would feel as though I died if I did not keep in touch with them on a couple of times a week. I don't want to give up being able to communicate with like-minded people on the Internet either, so I understand provideing solar power for a laptop also.

    It's great to see someone simplifying their life and trying new things.

    I plan on building a simple dwelling one day out of Cob. I may have to add a tankless electric water heater to the list.

    sounds great solar....

    tho how large are your batteries?....seams like alot of weight to bike around

    whoa! thats my dream!
    When i was Reading that list the Mental images were so vivid!
    Gah! im proud of you! il probly try something like that this summer...
    just without the labtop and solar pannels
    just some books, incense, windup Portable recordplayer and a nice location by natural running water.
    I would be satisfied for life... or atleast till i got bored
