There's alot of information on meditation techniques on the net. Read over some. I still experiment some with mine. But do find one that works for you that you do at the same time each day. Do be careful on reading things on the net. Like anything else, use discernment.

One thing to think about is what do you want to get out of your meditation? Put it into one word and let that be your focus for awhile. For me it was peace to help get over the loss of my nephew. I have gotten so much more.

be concious and present always....when eating, observe the sensations of eating, the tangible, and the intangible (life force being consumed), when walking, be present and feel what it means to walk. ect. life is one continuous movement....you can sit and close your eyes and still your mind for an hour and that is fine, and serves a purpose....but daily life is where we reside.
and really, once daily life has become a flow, your progress when sitting with closed eyes and still mind, becomes more rapid.

just be aware of the flow of Breath..just witness the breath...
Let it happen on its own...just be a observer..just witness...
    do nothing ...no concentration...
just pure witness without mind analysis.
    thougths may come..allow it pass...don't judge...don't analise...
    just witness...
Slowly thoughts reduce...so is Breath becomes slow and silent....
    you will be peaceful within...
    just be.
