    about bob marley?

i grew up listening to him, my dad used to play me tapes of his music and i remember watching these documentaries about him when i was about 5 or 6.

do you remember how and where you first heard this man's music?

i honestly can't remember how i got into him. i know it was summer time, his music smells warm. i would listen to him while going to school, and he always gets put on the jukebox in the pub, winter or summer. however it happened i am glad it did.

a buddy of mine sent me No Woman No Cry on MSN, i listened to it, didn't like it that much, but i decided to check out more of his stuff, and i completely fell in love with his music, the message behind it is so strong, but not overwhelming, like if you wanna hear the message it's loud and clear, but if you don't you can just drift through the rhythm and relax, it's great

i had a freind who was into music and had heard of him. this was the same friend who introduced me to some people who had a piece of land in southern oregon where i stayed for a couple of years when i first moved up that way. prior to that time i may have heard reggae, i'm not at all sure where, but i'm pretty sure it was 'arround', but it hadn't really registered on my conscousness if i had.

this was back some time in the late 70s for a timefraime.
