Hi. I bought 10 lowryder seeds from holland and got 11 freebies along with the lowryders, so planted them aswell. They were marked XS or XZ or something, don't remember. Anyway planted the freebies along with the ryders and after 5 days they are doing surprisingly well. They seem to be mostly taller than the lowryders. All have either one or two leaves. One is a giant, already almost 3.5 inches. Just curious wether the freebies are low quality lowryders, hybrids or another breed, as the freebie seeds seemed to be lighter in colour than the lowryder seeds. I have already built an area for all the lowryders, but was not expecting freebie seeds, so just wondering if the secondary storage area should be taller than the one built for the lowryders. Thanks in advance for advice.
"Freebie" seeds are usually not more of what you ordered. They are probably left over stock from thier previouse shipment - whatever they have an excess of. You know, some seeds don't sell as well as others. The main thing is they're free and you get to try something different. You can expect them to be "regular sized" plants, so they will need more room.
Thanks for reply. As the freebies are probably all different types, should I just spot the females after they grow and let the males go, as I have no way of knowing what specimen they are, or is it worth mating them. Sorry, this is my first grow and I a totally clueless. Trying to learn though.
Probably better to just grow out the females - throw out the males. As a beginner you will have enough to worry about without getting into breeding and hybrids and all. After you develope your growing skills you can worry about more complicated things!
