Its not that big of a deal, but Im being undecisive. For spring break, I have two options of where I could go travel to- 1.) Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark (for those who didnt know) 2.) Amsterdam I was originally planning on going to Copenhagen with another exhcange student friend of mine, but Ive already been to Copenhagen, and I thought somewhere new would be cool. The main reason I chose Copenhagen again at first was because I knew I could afford it. Then yesterday, I found a great deal to Amsterdam (58 Euros roundtrip!) and a really cheap hostel (10 euros a night) thats this campsite where you sleep in Bungalows, and its really pretty looking. And its cheaper than getting to Copenhagen and staying at a hostel there. The problem is, when I told my friend I wanted to go to Amsterdam instead, but she said she wasnt into it, and that she was excited to be going to Copenhagen. So my options now are: go to Copenhagen, with a friend to enjoy it with, but be somewhere Ive already been? Or, go to Amsterdam and broaden my horizons and go somewhere new, where Ive always wanted to go, but alone? The other thing is, Im running low on money, so this is the last big trip I can go on, and I think itd be nice for it to be a new place. Im just sorta bummed that Id be going alone (theres not any otehr friends of mine who could come). Im not worried about the going alone part, I went to Copenhagen alone my first time I was there, but I thought somewhere like Amsterdam, the classical stoner place, would be somewhere fun to experience with friends. Im totally up for trying to meet other people in the youth hostel Ill be staying at... So, my question is, what do you think I should do? Thanks!
I'd go to amsterdam, its not that hard to make stoner friends...lol It'd be a new experience, so I'd say that's the better option.
yeah i bet you would have no trouble meeting people in amsterdam go with your instinct and see somewhere new.
I'd definatly head over to Amsterdam, if you wait until cannibus cup you could buy a judges pass and smoke in style.... I've been planning on this for a few years myself.
i rekon amsterdam and cloudflower i love ur sig "If con is the opposite of pro, is congress the opposite of progress?" :] PEACE Janess
Amsterdam! I bet it would be really easy to make friends there and I hear it is so beautiful. You should always try to experiance new things and since you have already been to Copenhagen I say you go to Amsterdam... But it is your choice and you should go somewhere you really want to.
Hahahaha, no kidding. That's certainly a different definition of "running low on money" than I have. :jester:
I cant give ya any advice, but I can lend ya some personal experience. I went to amsterdam last november for the Cup.. I had the time of my life there. I went for 8 days with 3 of my friends, its nice to have some people ya know to hang with, but overall most folks in the coffee shops are great. I would head over to the amsterdam forum and see if anyone from the states are going at the time you are and see if ya can hook up with them.
Yet Copenhagen has Christiania.. although I found it a bit too commercial last time I visited. I would say talk it over with her and put both the advantages and disadvantaged next to each other and then see if you can work it out. If not and you really have your mind set on Amsterdam well I gues then you should go alone. But I would first see if there are ways to come to a solution. But it all comes down to what you feel like and what you want to do. We are all different in how we feel and how we do things. It is our greatest gift really.
I have to agree with the others and say Amsterdam. It is always nice to have the opportunity to experience new places, and when you have the money, why not go for it? I have no doubt that you will make new friends there.
I agree with everyone else-go to A-dam! If you´re still there in May(but I guess you´re not)then come and say hi to me,as I´m moving there soon! If you end up going there then you have to tell us what you thought of it! I have´nt actually been there yet myself.... Hope you have a nice time anyways wherever you end up going!
