i totally forgot to do the clocks. went away on friday on one of those sun £9.50 hoildays with the girls. had a great night out in scarbrough. got up the next day had breakfast & cleaned up. went to bridlington thinking we had lodes of time before my mate had to pick her little boy up. her ex didnt even mention we were late, i didnt noitice untill i'd had a bath, made some tea & put the sky on which said it was 8pm. it sort of through me out for the night but i didnt have time to think about it the next day as i was at a funeral. my body adaps really well to these sort of things tho i do much prefer putting the clocks back an hour.
My dad used that saying the other day and I slated him for using Americanisms in my presence...I'm a British English teacher, afterall Autumn does sound crap though
for ten 'o' clock dusk. Never used to bother me whether it were winter or summer but now it can only be happiness when it's summer. Pissed me off on Sunday when I lost that hour though, just reminded me that I was an hour closer to going to work.
Hehe no mate, was just playing. I love the English Language, so all forms are interesting and the history! However, sometimes I may get a little over-patriotic, I mean no offense.
meh, we all do. i'm just teasing. my dad was an english professor, but an american. i used to tease him on his refusal to take on colloquialisms and refusal to acknowledge them when spoken. so i'd call him a xenophobe, but i think the irony was lost on him. *sigh* at least i make myself laugh.
you can look it up and dictionary.com. best site ever. but you can't trust my spelling. it's been years since i gave a flying fuck about it.
lol. it doesn't rhyme though. am i being an ass today? i was yesterday, but i haven't been able to look back on enough post form today to conclusively decide if i've fully entered "SHITHEAD" status.
 I meant saying... Damn spliff! No, I think you're going to have to push MUCH harder to reach that status
Me too, I'm loving the long bright evenings And why can't we abolish GMT? For those of us who refuse to acknowledge that the day begins before 10am it wouldn't make much difference anyway:tongue:
Did they decide not to change it then? I thought there was discussion going on about changing our time to the same as France etc?
