I was walkin downtown, this lady was sitting on the sidewalk and asked me if I had any change, and I shook my head no..... she said well, thanx, I love you..... or something to that effect, so I thought, alrighty then...... I got a sandwich and fries from pepperjax and walked back to my apartment. I saw that same lady walkin down the sidewalk ahead of me, I was about to turn onto the sidewalk that leads to my house, she turns around and sees me with a paper bag, and she yells out something about if I had any change now or something like that........ I just fuckin ignored the bitch and walked on. why do they have to be so damn pushy?
It seems a great injustice has been done to you. I am sorry with all my heart and I hope that you seek the appropriate counselling as you are obviously less fortunate than the people that chose to victimise you.
thanx for your sarcasm , there buddy. I appreciate it. all Im sayin is, if I told them once Im not going to give them any change, then why ask again????? and be so damn aggressive about it??????? if they are that aggressive about askin for money, maybe they would do better at finding A JOB.
I'd be pushy too if I hadn't eaten for a few days, or had been sleeping outside in who knows what kind of conditions. Get over it. I'm sorry, but it's not a big deal. Yeah they are pushy, but it's not a big deal.
oh yeah, they havent eaten in a few days, how do you know that for sure??????? and Ill bet you they would spend it on drugs or alcohol anyways, so why would I even give anything to them. I dont feel sorry for them in the least. I said this before, tell me a story, or an anecdote, or play me a tune, and Ill give you money, dont get up in my face and ask for money.
It also helps if you give an earnest apology and a recognition instead of simply "no", not that you owe it to them, but it is a very human thing to do.
It's not that easy. Most jobs reqire you to have a home address to be reached at to apply for a job. A large majority of homeless people are mentally ill, becuase facilities for them continue to be closed down. Way to have compassion for other people.
I'm not sure many homeless people have that good of a memory..for instance, if they asked and then asked again 30 minutes later, they may not have realized it was the same person. I'll be the first to admit that if I did not have family to help me on a few occasions, I myself would have been homeless
isn't that so true and really humberling people always make really harsh judgements about homeless people, well 'hating panhandlers' is one thing, but come and say that to the men and women who are sleeping in doorways on a freezing cold wet winters night, its just not possible to hate them as much as they hate their lives on those nights S
they can go to homeless shelters, and there are some around here. dont give me this "oh they are homeless bullshit" as a taxpayer I take care of them.
there are not nearly enough homeless shelters for everyone! anyway, i doubt you make much money, therefore I doubt you even pay many taxes.
