So now Fox is complaining about domestic spending on Katrina and American farmers as 'pork barrel spending' attached to the Iraq war bill. As if half a trillion dollars on Iraq hasn't been the biggest pork-barrel spending fiasco in American history. They claim the American people have had enough (of domestic spending) and need to vote the Senators out of office. .
What have Fox and Republican's ever done for those in the US that have suffered either from Katrina, or Anthrax or war? I guess what they've been swilling on for years isn't pork or ham...it's their entitlements. But Medicare, Social Security and anything that provide a safety net for the average man is pork. I think they are running scared, and well they should be. We watched as the average man waited on their rooftops to be rescued for hours if not days, while Haliburton, airlines and oil companies and their ilk have reaped a fortunes and been bailed out while our children die overseas, and are forgotten when they return home. Who was made whole first in the gulf...the petroleum industry! Those that need to rebuild their homes are being denied. And it's the same overseas. The average Iraqi's plight is forgotten. All we want are signed PSAs.
