Right now i work at a local YMCA teaching swim lessons to kids. Which i feel like im definitely helping out others and spreading a peaceful and loving message. The prices for these six week lessons are generally $40 for a six week session. I get paid about $7 an hour for my work. Here in town there is a country club that is willing to pay teachers $25 an hour, but the downside of this is only the really rich people can afford it, i mean we are talking like $100 for 1 lesson. And also at the Club I would have to cut my long blond hair. So my question is it worth selling out to the rich? peace, RylyC
depends how bad you need the money.... if you're saving up for something really worthwhile...go ahead and take the better deal... but if you're just doing it for some spending cash...don't sell out to the rich...especially if you value your hair.... I'd never change myself for some snobs...
Why do you have to make such a big deal out of hair? It's fucken hair... while, 25 an hour is more money than 99% of the bloody world makes per hour. Don't want to be a sellout? Use the money you make for something good... Otherwise, go and work in the country club, honestly. Shit... put in some hours at the YMCA too when you can.
It could very well be one hell of a job. Who do you think works at this country club.? These people may not be all that easy to talk to or get along with, and being someone who seems to be a non-conformist (long hair) in the first place, it might be difficult to relate to the upper class mentality at such an elitist establishment. I often see job opportunities, yet when I picture the environment I would be spending my days in, I just know that would be out of character for me. I cannot put my "hippie" aside for the sake of employment.
Most of the people Who live here are doctors to. so most of them are rich and have an ego bigger than a whale. They also only will accept perfect and normal people. People who are not accepting of others are the most miserable people of all. RylyC
