I wasn't talking of cheap gas for us, just no gas for them. And the Brits could pull it of all by themselves. The man on the street in London is getting pissed.

When the English commoners wake up and stop fighting a elitist war for oil, then they will accomplish somthing.

Yeah and torture results in the truth, like we've seen in Guantanamo. But we allowed our congress to pass a law saying it was justified.

English sailors are admitting they were in Iranian waters. And they didn't look like they were hidden in secret camps or tortured in order to make those statements. But we've sat by while people that made confessions under torture were executed.

You and the rest of the world should be happy that those you label extremists haven't sunk to the level of the US at this point.

Yeah. The old Iran Contra-deceptive scandal. :)

    And good old Ollie North:

(sung ot the tune The Green Beret)

    He traded arms, to Iran
For hostages, what a great plan!
We'll never know, just what he's seen
The man they call, the mute marine.

Well, this is sort of a different subject, but with this issue you gotta remember that that is the USA not the U.K, in the UK, any evidence or cofessions taken through torture are not used in UK courts, the evidence is instantly thrown out + that includes evidence taken from guantanamo bay which the UK is still trying to get the Americans to close down.

+ the Iranians will see it that way about the captured brits when they all get back to work, no way will they believe the minority group that captured them. In fact, I reckon the 1 who did this will be put up on charges in Iran by the Iranian government for encouraging conflict. But, thats just my point of view, all we can do is wait a few days when they all are back at work + see what shakes loose.

Believe me the Iranians that run their governments are dumb sons of bitches that really havent got a clue how to conduct world politics, and they really honestly do not see that if they had just done nothing and escorted the craft out of its waters then it would have benifited them in the longterm. Iran has always operated like that since the 1960's as it is basically a corrupt religious state where its leaders are screwing their people over in both the name of Allah and of Patriotism. they are having the $$$$$$$$ away through the mosques and the tax system

Their best leaders, and diplomats, are more clueless than our dumbest of politicians in the west and thats a fact!

Probably will take over from John Major and run Halibuton Europe, otherwise known as Qinetiq, and will be paid around $8,000,000 a year for the job

Thats why he's up Bushes arsehole

What's worse is that the same knuckle-head politicians with the same philosophy are in both the U.S. and Iran and facing off with each other, a recipe for disaster.

I can't imagine at what price they are releasing them (other than the kidnapped Iranians)... it's amazing how these countries can get what they want through kidnapping... reminds me of how the Hizzbollah used to trade a captured Israeli soldier for dozens of Palestinian prisoners.

Israelies also captured their share of combatants...it's the way diplomacy is carried out. Risk the lives of the little man. Play public opinion.
