I tangent a lot--it's a quirk of mine, ask any of my pals. But to open up fa little further, I don't truly miss my acidhead past. An occasional trip might be worthwhile. For me, while LSD began as a mind-expanding experinece, it gradually degenerated once my tolerance was such that to take 10 hits a day three times a week in order to trip effectively. And when that happened, the mind-expansion reduced, and the sensual aspect of the drug increased.
I concur that Reality is the highest state, and although I never did do too many shrooms, one of my experiences while shrooming was definitely the most harmonious experience of oneness with nature that I've ever known.
