Hey guys, Has anyone heard of Technet? Im thinking of subscribing to it, it seems like a good deal, but before i make a rash decision, i just want to seek some feedbacks from an IT point of view or anyone who knows anything about Technet to give me some feedbacks. Is it true that i get unlimited access on all microsoft products and it can be shared through 10 computers?? its because i am in a development team and will need that.. Thanks for your precious feedbacks guys
Yep Technet is pretty good and has some kind of affiliation to microsoft. I have never subscribed to it but their answers are pretty good and I have solved quite a few problems simply by accessing their knowledgebase. If you mean, for example, can I install office on a single apps server and then have 10 people log in to individual profile accounts and use it, the answer is generally no, one way or another those people will pay something to microsoft whether you use a per seat licence or per server licence. personally I find MS licensing issues to be a nightmare and if they werent so greedy I would buy a lot more of them. If, whatever you do, can be done under Linux, use that instead
Technet is a knowledgebase to help you solve computer problems to do with microsoft operating systems its usually used by IT professionals and other geeks - some of their links however end at pages which you have to pay to access These are typical technet links http://technet2.microsoft.com/WindowsServer/en/library/bd8a2548-25a8-4a4c-ad5c-c2719add9fd21033.mspx http://www.microsoft.com/technet/community/columns/cableguy/cg1004.mspx
