Goodstock 2007

Earthmother here. Here in WV it seems the musician scene is starting to buzz. This word of mouth thing is working. I get lots of questions and I'll try to answer them as well as possible. We need folks in the big WV towns like Huntington, Morgantown, Clarksburg and Parkersburg to help with flier distribution. The sooner the better so people will know and have time to pass on the word.

I guarantee some class-A entertainment.

 

Goodstock 07 will be held in Summersville, West Virginia for a re-attempt of another 3 days of peace and music. The orginal creators of Woodstock 69 are completly in charge of Goodstock and its going to be a festival of the 60's and 70's....IM GOING WITH MY DAD!!! A 3 day ticket is $75 and a 1 day is $28. Great deals!!

Still doing some footwork for this festival. I've been canvassing the local area right now, and I'll be in Atlanta next month spreading the word there. After that, I'll be in Asheville, then the Tri-Cities (Johnson City, Kingston, Bristol), then Nashville and Chattanooga by mid-May. I think the small footwork I've been doing for Goodstock has led me to my true calling: promoting.

I'm also trying to get in touch with some of the free publications and some radio stations to see if they will do anything.

 

Great doing Wasteland !! Thanks for everything you do.. every step is a step forward.. We need more like you..it's fun once you get going the energy builds as you go and takes you places you otherwise would have passed up and missed opportunity.

If your looking to get involved you can print off some flyers from the www.goodstock2007.com and pass them out or hang them up. That will help Goodstock and will be fun too, getting involved make goodstock a whole new experience in helping make it happen..

Hey, shameless heifer, did those guys from Bitter Pills get around to contacting you? I gave them the email address you gave me.

 

Yes they did WasteLand. I told them about the situation as I explaned it to you in pm last week. I havent heard back from them yet, I hope something works in to where they can play..There are some thigs in the works that I can't reveal just yet untill conformation. but it may allow us to bring in 30 more bands.

Thanks for everything your doing man, we need about 100 more like you.. great things are on the horizone for Goodstock!!

I printed some flyers out, and dropped them off at a couple different guitar shops. I read that there's a global cannabis march next month, and Lexington is participating, so I'll be passing a shit load of 'em around there.

Believe it or not, I'm going to Nascar at Texas Speedway sunday and tomorrow to a bike rally at Strokers and will also be handing out flyers, I have 500 printed up.. I hope we don't get rained out big storm headed our way.

We need the use of two generators large enough to run lights and sound..

Goodstock2007 is opening two or more natural stages, which will allow more bands to play.. there are so many begging to play at Goodstock right now and we want them all to have a chance.

I don't know how to express what Goodstock means to so many folks like you n me.. just plain folk ya know.. just wanting a chance to make a dream come true..

We all have this one dream of doing something meaningfull that will make a difference in our lives and lives of future generations Goodstock is that opportunity to get involved. That's what draws us to Gather in like mindedness. To create a positive energy force, a vibration that will go out into the Universe and counteract the negitivity that man creates with greed,coveting,lust and the other deadly temptations of mankind.

We find so much of this attitude within the music industry today...we just want to see our favorite bands play our favorite music without corporate telling us what to listen to, how many times to listen and when and where. Demanding sometimes hundreds of thousands $$ for a couple of hours and you can't get anywhere close to the bands without huge brick bodyguards with guns flinging you aside, making it impossible to connect..250,000 would last most of us a life time. sigh..

Just being there would show your support, nothing to sign or nothing to join, no strees just 3 glorious days for pure rock and roll, laughing and singing, playing in the sunshine and beneith the stars in a Celebration of Love Peace and Harmony with the Universe.

Performance Opportunities for Woodstock Era Tribute Bands and solo artists with RETRO 69

In additional to the main acts planned so far, Goodstock LLC is strongly considering creating a day of “Woodstock 1969”, known as “Retrofest 1969”, featuring tributes bands performing many of the bands that performed at the three day Woodstock in 1969. The show will take place during the three day Goodstock event, and will closely follow the order of performances from the actual 1969 event.

RETRO 69 is seeking tribute bands that can accurately reproduce the sound, looks, and feeling of the original performers of Woodstock. After being accepted as part of Retrofest 1969, contingent upon Goodstock LLC providing a staging area with backline and sound equipment, all agreements and contracts detailing reasonable RT expenses and performance fees will be negotiated individually with Goodstock LLC. Meals and campsites are provided free to performers.

For consideration, please contact Allan Spielman at allan@retro69.net. Please do NOT contact Goodstock 2007 management. You will need to provide a proposed set list of the Woodstock performer(s) you plan on covering, as well as a link to a band website and/or press kit. Solo performers covering acoustic performers are also welcome.

Important: Allan Spielman has been asked as a volunteer to coordinate this event, but is in no way liable for any damages, injuries, or losses incurred by any band member, staff, volunteer, patron, management, or anyone else involved with Goodstock 2007.
