While I'm almost out of San Pedro (while not achieving much more than a stoned feeling), I felt I have to pay more for some new cacti. That is until I found a HUGE cacti resembling a mescaline cactus in the neighborhood. It looks A LOT like a Peruvian Torch cactus. But I'm not 100% sure about this. I know that if it is a mescaline cactus it has to be a Peruvian Torch because the spines are really long. The cactus is also starshaped, another common trait of both San Pedro, Peruvian Torch, and related species. It also a branching cactus. Are there any other cacti with starshaped branches? The giant cactus has this shape, not this is NOT the cactus it just looks like this; Are there any other non-mescaline cacti with this star shape along with such long spines and branching behavior? Moreover........the cacti looks as if it has cuttings already off of it meaning people might already be using it for tripping! So what do you think? Is this cacti I found and and describing Peruvian Torch or could it be a cacti that just shares the star-shape and long spines but not Peruvian Torch? I going to try to see whether I can get a photo.......
It sure does LOOK like peruvian torch. But i don't have any way of knowing that except for the way it looks. Sorry
Hard to say from just the pic. It looks like P.torch though. There are quite a few cactus that contain mesc. Terreski, birdeski... ? (spelling?)
haha this IS GREAT!I HAVE A cactus like that at home, bought it some yrs ago b cus i liked the way it looked..... but he is my friend now....
