Iv been reading this one since 2004 but i just never really signed up for some odd reason. and finially decided to. but this was the first forum i ever actally stayed and read alot of shit. nothing else really.
in the mid ninties i used messageboard.com. in the late ninties/early 2000 i began using hipforums.com
I used to use the forums at ultimate-guitar.com. It used to be a good one, but it started getting flooded by emo kids with something to prove. I still use the web site a lot but haven't been back to its forums since I started here
I was a regular at the Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul message boards waaaay back in the day (from the age of like 12 to 16 or so). This place is waaay cooler than that one.
I post on the IMDb forums a lot. I also currently post on some horror boards (houseofjigsaw.com, bloody-disgusting.com) and a Beatles board (beatlelinks.com or something).
i wasnt used to post in forums so it's a kinda hipforum and internet addiction now still a good one i think
I've visited (and still am on) many other forums. I got bored on some, but have never unsubscribed. But I really like hipforums and I always come here.
I was a member of a young mothers group for quite some time. Got bored. Left. I was a member at epregnancy for several years, but then it changed to another name, and I wasn't real crazy about the new site, the set up, how slow it was running, plus it was all women and there were so many cat fights it was pathetic, that, and most of the women were really not on the same page with parenting as I was. It was all fine and dandy during my pregnancies, but after the kids came, it just wasn't a good fit for me anymore. Got bored. Left. I was also on another board for many years, it was a board for people who basically battled depression but were now "on the up". However it got so slow there after certain members left that I would go months without checking in. We also had two members die at a young age. After that happened, the site kind of went downhill. There weren't many members, maybe at the most a dozen, but we were pretty close for a while. But things change. I also had a few clashes with the mod, regarding how we raised our kids, and it caused some tension (her way was the best and only way *rolls eyes*) Got bored. Left. I've been here for a while, and it's been probably the most perfect fit for me as far as message boards go. It's got everything, and I think that's probably what was missing from my other boards, they were predominantly about one topic.
quite a number of them acutaly. furry ones and artist ones and train related ones. still am active on several. maybe not AS active as here. but visit at least once a week or so. some almost every time i log on. just like here. i guess the place i hung out the most before this became the place i hung out more often used to be elfwood. sacfurs is one i check regularly but not all the time. and biorust, although i more just post immages there then do much on the forums. when vcl was more open to more general discussion and rollplay i used to hang out there a lot. i'm not sure i remember where i first hung out. i remember i discouvered fur nation before i discouvered forums at all. then elfwood. and i was on there for years. just like here. they overlapped, elfwood and here, for quite a number of years as well. i'm pretty sure i was on both here and elfwood and vcl before 2000. =^^= .../\... =^^= .../\...
I used to post on some basketball forum when I was like 13-14... I got banned because I started telling people that there was more to life than basketball
Well... I must admit that I also might have gotten banned because I jokingly implied that John Stockton and Karl Malone had homosexual sex in the team showers. ... and talking about homosexuality is a sin.
